Who does a good cut and colour in Richmond?

I've never done anything to my hair before but now I want lots of lovely expensive buttery blonde bits.
Any recommendations?

It will be expensive in Richmond
Can recommend Icon in Norbiton, if you feel like slumming it!!!

moondog · 12/04/2010 18:11

Thank you!
I don't want to slum it though-a rare chance to be alone and treat myself. (Although I am sure it is not remotely slummy.)

No it is a very nice salon.

Fabienne at Toni and Guy is great. In Kew, I would heartily recommend Westbrook. The head bloke, Mark, is a great cutter, though v v v expensive.

If you can heave yourself over to headmasters in sheen a woman there called Bethany just did me some lovely buttery blonder bits and not too expensive. Julie at headmasters in Wimbledon village also great for highlights but a bit more expensive. Never done hmasters Richmond but would avoid toni and guy like plague.

Alas the best place in Richmond has closed due to family tradegy. I too am rootless (no punn intended) without salon. Done Toni and Guy, Headmasters and Rush and still looking.
Will try Icon in Norbiton - I just want somewhere I like what they do!

Good luck OP!

How far is Norbiton then?
I don't have much time-one day to shop, get hair done and some other stuff.
Thanks for other suggestions too.

Icon is on the way out of Kingston going towards Norbiton Station- it's a small salon, quite trendy but not intimidating.
Sarah is the co-owner and is fantastic with colour- they use Aveda.
I have cut and full colour- it's about £75.

No idea about colour but I have been very happy with Art8 (opposite Neals Yard) for cuts. One of the owners moved from Sugar in E Sheen and they have taken on a couple of the stylists from the organic salon across the road.

Thanks again all.

The Aveda salon in Richmnd is good as is Vertigo in St Margarets

I was going to suggest one but realised you meant the London one, not the north yorks one
