Took dd there today - purely to LOOK, not buy- and was quite amazed by the store.
Even more impressed by semi naked man in foyer- and yes, I had my photo taken with him, much to dd's disgust.
What's the quality like- dd saw a nice fleece jacket as opposed to hoodie for £60.

They have lovely clothes but a rather suspect attitude towards disability....so I don't buy from them anymore.

Lovely quality stuff, but no comment on their politics - and I find their stores dreadful, like nightclubs. But their hoodies etc wash and wash and still look new after 4 years (which is how long I've had both of mine, bought in New York as same price in US dollars as they are in £££).

They got into a lot of trouble with their attitudes to a disabled assistant if I remember rightly. Must admit I don't know all the details, but I remember thinking they were a pretty awful company.

they just remind me of jamie oliver for some reason

it's seems to be private school uniform, pretty safe but just pricey enough to show you're loaded.

Oooh don't get me started on how much I detest their London store. Thumping music, naff "perfume" sprayed all the time, so dark you can't see what colour the clothes are (even in the changing rooms!) and hundreds of staff who look pretty but do next to nothing.

Their clothes do last well but only because they looked faded/ripped to start with - that's the look. Personally I think they are a triumph of advertising over substance.

On the other hand, DH does look nice in some of their stuff

I've got track pants / t-shirts from 5+ years ago and they are still fine. No idea what cotton they use but it lasts far longer than anything else I own. I've only got it from the USA so it's cheaper.

Stupidly over priced in the UK, it will have to go on my birthday wish list from now on.

Hate the shops though, stupid loud music and their attitude to the girl who worked there .

I preferred it to Hollister, which I loathed- so cramped and dark. At least the A and F assistants were quite helpful, in their little rara skirts and vests.
Ah well, it's ticked off one of dd's "things I want to do before I'm 14" boxes.
I used to be happy in Van Allen

I have to go there on Saturday as it is dd's birthday and she wants to get a hoody. It is definitely less cramped and dark than Hollister but more expensive.

Clothes are good quality but I prefer Jack Wills. Find the shop headache inducing and bad for my self-esteem.
