Wear decent trainers for the gym but when i run my knees seem to give way abit and i kind of turn pigeon toed! The trainer suggested getting supportive trainers esp for running. Not sure where to start...

any suggestions?

Go to a running shop and they will fit you up. Decent trainers are SO important for running.

Not a sports shop like JJB who essentailly sell casual wear, but a proper running or triathlon specific shop (usually run by very skinny people with beards). Chains include "Up and Running". In London there's also "Run and Become" and in Leeds there's "Triangle", Sheffield has "Accelerate" and Barnsley has "RaceScene" (Can you tell that I live in Yorkshire?)

You'll need to take about an hour and a half as they will tyr you in a few pairs of different styles, types etc, appraise your foot shape, look at you run on a treadmill, and really get the best shoes for you.

Please don;t buy running shoes mail order !I am a great internet shopper, but this in one area that you really need personl, hands-on advice.
