handbags - what can I buy with my money

I saw a bag I quite liked in FCUK it cost just over a hundred and dp has said he would rather I spent more and bought a "proper" (his words) brand or spent less, so if I spent up to 300 what kind of brand should I be looking at? What bag would you buy with that money? Any ideas welcome.

Longchamp have quite a few I like may have to pop into an actual shop and have a look at them.
I tried to join that website I am on a waiting list it seems.

aw sorry didn't know they had waiting lists! the drew nutmeg bag is very similar to the mulberry one but seems to have sold out- argh- OK well good luck in your quest, think 'cost per wear' when justifying cost of anything lovely that is my feeble excuse anyway!
