Best foundation for VERY pale skin?

I have really pale skin ( think Dita Von Teese) but I have some scarring from teenage spots & the usual blemishes so I like to wear foundation. I haven't found one that's light enough for me yet. I've got normal/combination skin.

Please lovely mumsnetters can you reccomend something for me? Am willing to spend up to £30. I am very sick of walking round looking like an oompa loompa.

you can always take it back to the counter if they give you the wrong shade- I have done this a few times

I like Mac; I'm very pale too. I use the palest colour - NC15 as am cool skin toned. For warm but pale skin tones, there is NW15.

I have never found a cheapy one pale enough. Clinique do them pale enough, but I prefer MAC.

Try before you buy though.
