Forehead wrinkles- best creams?

JumpingJellyfish · 06/04/2010 12:17

I am saddened to say that in the past six months I have noticed a huge increase in the appearance of wrinkles on my forehead. I'm still fairly young so a bit mortified! I have dry skin, but very sensitive, so quite wary about face creams. Any suggestions? At the moment I use bio oil about once a day. I don't wear make-up but think I may need to soon as looking very much worse for wear these days!!
Thanks ladies x

I am the same JJ. I put my forehead lines down to getting really sunburnt on one particular holiday when I was younger. My head swelled up and my forehead blistered - luckily my face is fine so far!!

I'm sorry to say that I haven't found any magic cure but having a heavyish fringe cut in has made me feel more confident, is this an option?

cyb · 06/04/2010 13:27

no cream will get rid of wrinkles. Only botox or a fringe to cover

bibbitybobbityhat · 06/04/2010 13:28

Its genetic, I'm afraid. Once you have the wrinkles there is nothing at all you can do about them. Fringe is your best bet .

JumpingJellyfish · 06/04/2010 13:35

Hmm thought as much...annoyingly both my parents have very good young-looking skin, but theirs is not as dry as mine so I seem to be doomed! Unfortunately I have quite a short forehead, and fairly round face, so my sister (who knows about these things) thinks a fringe would not suit me! agh.

Any creams that may slow the progress of wrinkles that actually might work?

I have been using this

cream and I think it makes a bit of a differnce. Am also contemplating a fringe though as a next step!

L'oreal Resurfacing Primer or Clarins Instant Smooth are both great at disguising forehead lines but nothing will get rid or them except Botox

notyummy · 06/04/2010 15:02

try

this

Hi

I too have quite a short forehead and round face and I look best WITH my fringe. So why not give it a go-I certainly think it covers any lines I have on my forehead!!!

Jewelsandgems · 06/04/2010 20:31

I use loreal collogen-plumping creme (day and night) and can confirm a definate reduction in forhead lines. It kinda plumps up the skin so the wrinkles look less pronounced (face as a whole looks much plumper IMO)

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 06/04/2010 21:01

Fringe will stop them getting worse. I have always had a fringe and have no lines on my forehead and am almost 50. It's the only bit of my face that has had next to no exposure to the sun all my life. Rest is wrinkly, protect and perfect by NO 7 is good.

elemis do a pen which is amazing here
can't find it by itself

cyb · 06/04/2010 22:47

ebay seem to do them by themselves. is it really good corny?

kittya · 06/04/2010 22:59

Im beginning to think that botox is the way to go. I mean a couple of hundred quid versus pots of expensive moisturisers, at least we know one works!!

cornsilk · 07/04/2010 10:14

cyb yes it's fab

NoBingoWings · 07/04/2010 20:20

Roc Retinox is amazing -no it wont get rid of them completely but softens them IMO.
I use very other day now as my skin got a bit sensitive with daily use. After I first started using it several people asked me what I had done

PATRICIA2017 · 05/09/2017 09:05

I'm 46 years old and I have been using Dermalmd products since I was a teen. I ordered the anti aging serum simply because my local drugstore is crazy expensive so I figured I would give official site a shot. Very happy with the unexpected results I'm getting from the serum. I use morning and night and my skin looks and feels amazing. I had very defined lines and wrinkles on my forehead which I have become comfortable with, they were quite expressive to say the least. But now those deep wrinkles are very very fine lines, I feel like Benjamin Button.

Maudlinmaud · 05/09/2017 09:15

I use superdrug naturally radiant overnight glycolic peel mask it certainly has plumped up my skin and I have/had quite deep frown lines. It's only a few pounds. I've used vichy filler (can't remember the name) it's a night cream that you put directly onto the lines, but it had little or no affect. I am contemplating botox but I'm worried it will look fake.

Maudlinmaud · 05/09/2017 09:16

Sorry I didn't realise this was a zombie. Gah! I'm sure the op has it all under control.

vasseve1 · 05/09/2017 10:25

Sorry but the only thing to get rid of them is botox.

PollyPerky · 05/09/2017 10:29

Botox or a fringe.

If creams got rid of wrinkles why would anyone have them?

TeddyIsaHe · 05/09/2017 10:31

Botox! Find a really good dr to administer, someone worth their salt will start you off with tiny amounts to give a really natural look, rather than the frozen forehead! It works wonders, I haven't had it personally but my mum does and she looks brilliant. You can't tell, it just freshens up her face. Pointless buying expensive creams that really will only make a minuscule difference if any.
