What shoes to go with this dress?

I am wearing this dress for my sister's wedding in Italy in June. It is a very small wedding and I am on the large side so, although I am the bridesmaid I am not wearing a traditional bridesmaid's dress. I still want to look as fab as poss though!

I am wearing the dress with a purple organza wrap but I don't know if I want purple shoes as well - I don't really like the matchy matchy look. I would prefer to wear some neutral/nude shoes like these or these instead but am not sure if they would go.

Then there's the whole bag question.

What say ye, ladies?

do you like irregular choice or are too fusy?

mrsboogie · 06/04/2010 17:12

I love irregular choice - I actually got these when I had a different more traditional bm dress in mind. I think they will be too fussy to go with the Coast dress unfortunately.

If money was no object I would go 100% for the Christian Laboutins - I love the caramel colour. That is exactly the look I want- I had actually seen those but they're too expensive, sadly.

Love the ones on Faith ones too but I think they are too high. I don't have to do much walking but I will need to be able to stand in them. There are some other promising ones on the Faith site though...

thanks a lot for the replies!

Thank you Boogie.I rather thought so too.
It is my special MSc presentation outfit.

Any good? or lower heel

Or you could try platforms which may not feel as high

I'd go for these

mrsboogie · 06/04/2010 18:03

haha tethersend have seen the Vivienne Westwood ones -I wonder if the magical blue orb is removable???

I never thought of Topshop-the first ones are a lovely colour although -possibly too high for me

Yes, the Laboutins are horribly expensive, I wasn't suggesting to get them, just use them as inspiration . I'm loving the Vivienne Westwood ones too!

Ah, and yes Topshop is always worth looking at for shoes, imho.
