Tell me about your favourite RED nail polish

I don't often wear bright nails- stick with a pale pink one which is like a French manicure colour- but occasionally I feel like being vamp-ish.

(Currently have OPI Bastille My Heart for toes which is a red with a purple tinge but it doesn't look good on my hands.)

Fire away ladies....

OPI Big Apple Red is perfect, a classic scarlet shade, I love it!

OPI bogota blackberry, love it on my toes!!

A very old Jessica one, got it done when I had a pedicure and bought the colour then and it still looks fab and lasts for AGES! Also Virgin Vie do a "pillar box" red, and Avon do a similar one which stays on for quite a long time.

Absolutely LOVE Avon's bright pink colour, looks great on hands and feet.

Chanel lotus rouge

Always looking for perfect red nail varnish! Love the red lippies from Chanel but haven't found they do nail varnishes I like as much by them. Current fave is cheapy No 17 Baked Cherry which is a lovely 50s style red, I think and stays on for ages.

OPI are the best, I don't like the Essie colours and OPI stays well. haven't tried the Nails inc

OPI Got the Blues for Red. Its the best I have found, but it really does depend on your skin tone as to whether you suit a blue based red or a yellow based red.

How do you know which- yellow or blue tones?
my skin is very pale. Currently using a Mavala one almost identical to Opi Bastille my Heart- red with a wine-tinge. I'd say it is bluey but not sure.

i like barry m. but it's more of a dark pinky red really nice.

i've found nails inc darker colours chip a bit but the shades are fantastic

I just put blue based and yellow based reds next to my skin and discovered that blue based looks better on me.

I got the OPI TSV from QVC the other week and there's a lush red one in it.

Please explain Ihave- TSV and QVC?

I like Jessica Winter Berries and Royal Red and Chanel Red Dream for when I am feeling vampy.

Almost always have one of the above on my toes.
