Hi, I went into town today trying to get an outfit for my 12 year old Stepdaughter.

I've got boys and was brought up in Tammy girl (where's that gone?) Where should I look for clothes? I've bought her stuff in Asda/Tesco before but wanted more of a brand name for a present (not silly prices though) Any online stores too?

What do 12 year olds wear anyway????

Do try New Look though, their teeny stuff is lovely. (9-15 as already mentioned) And Matalan have some nice girls' stuff (not classy but Ok and v v cheap)

I forgot Matalan! I went into TK Maxx today in Blackpool but they didn't have much in that age range at the moment, I'm going to buy her a jewellery box and some jewellery for christmas hopefully that will be easier

MarsLady · 23/07/2005 23:17

I shall be sitting by the aga with a cuppa and making jam!

my 12yo likes to shop in Mango, Top Shop, Gap, Jane Norman for her slut wear (only joking but we do go in occasionally to show her what NOT to buy). Also has stuff from Tesco and Asda too but not their teeny range. She is a size 8/10 in real clothes now so as long as she follows the basic principles of "remember you're only 12 and buy nice stuff" she does ok

bubblerock · 23/07/2005 23:36

Right, I've got somewhere - I hope, I just found the kids window (please don't tell me any horror stories as I didn't check here before ordering)

I got her a stripey bardot top HERE

and a suedey/furry coat HERE

I bought a pair of skater jeans the other day and I'd really like to get her some boots/shoes.

I know it's a winter outfit but by the time I get to see her again it will be heading that way!

The Kids Window website is designed/maintained by SenoraP, believe it or not, so if you have any probs tell her!

(You won't )
