Do you think it is worth the money?

Could I go shopping in it?

I quite like that

some All Saints stuff is dreadfully dreary

I don't see myself trogging around Morriswines in it though

PavlovtheCat · 30/03/2010 20:13

there is a wonderful item which you might well find is too dreary, but I love it. It is called 'fallen angel' and I love love love it. But I am suspicious of some foul play with the bidding some I am backing off. I am v sad about it!

I do like this, and impulsively bid on it, then thought, where on earth will i wear it?! I was meant to be buying some t-shirts!

I tried one on which was similar last year, I needed to be a stick with no hips to fasten it up so didn't buy it. The sizes of some of the dresses are really odd to be honest, there's no room for anything resembling a bum!

PavlovtheCat · 30/03/2010 20:47

aw, i lost both. Well, this one that i linked to, I have been outbid, and I wont go any higher, not on a whim! Oh a shame. I really liked them both. The other one went for more than I was prepared could afford to pay anyway. And these were the only 2 things I have seen that I want to buy...i am desperate for some clothes.

How are you feeling now pav?

PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 18:30

you mean re the loss of a great dress?! gutted but c'est la vie

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 31/03/2010 19:52

No, I mean your health, the reaction that you had to the steroids that faked a MS relapse.

Don't worry about the dress, seriously, you'd have to be a stick with no hips to be able to fasten it up.

PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 22:19

i think you got me mixed up with another cat? I thought you were being overly concerned about my wellbeing after losing on the dress I was thinking 'its just a dress, but nice that she cares' .

I am presuming you don't mean MS as in morning sickness, as I did have that horrendously, and am now worriedly checking my memory in case my new baby has caused some memory blip

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 31/03/2010 22:47

There's so many names on here I can't keep up sometimes.

I am also very concerned that you didn't get the dress, I give you honesty though when I do say that no matter how stick like you are, you wouldn't have been able to fasten the bottom up, you need 24-24-24 statistics. You have saved yourself time and money as you would have had to send it back.

PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 22:52

I am tbh releived I did not spend what would have been £60 on a dress. I would not normally spend that much, not even new! I am more gutted about the other one though. It sold for £39, but i was suspicious about it being bumped up and my limit i had in my head was £36. It was very worth it, and it was not like this dress, it was looser fitting so tiny hips were not so compulsory. It is a rare as rocking horse blah so £39 was a good price though (£130 new).

I shall stick with Next for now

OP posts:
PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 22:52

I hope you remember who it was who was poorly...

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 31/03/2010 22:55

I'm terrible with names, I have MS (not morning sickness), it will come back to me at some point.

I hope you find some clothes!! Boden isn't looking too bad at the moment, M&S are bringing out their new stock, avoid Next as they are looking a little tacky.

PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 22:59

No, i guessed not morning sickness. I just wanted to make sure, as someone else asked how my MS was, and they were referring to my vomitting and I gave them a blank look.

I have no inspiration for clothes whatsoever. The last item I bought was a pair of rock chick style jeans with a chain on, from Red Herring. Very nice, but the only item of clothing I actually like to wear right now. I am so uninspired. Apart from All Saints stuff. But not the price. I really want a pair of military boots though, mainly . I really am not into Next its all too, bland.

I also hate shopping. I have seen a couple of Joules bits though but I'm not sure if they will make me look poncey

Have you tried finding somewhere that sells fair trade/emo stuff? Some of these shops are cool.

PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 23:26

I love the sort of discrete emo stuff, not the glaring stripey socks bit, or too many skulls (think DD would be upset by them! she is 3) I used to be into grunge as a youth, and did my best impression of Kurt Cobain, with the dyed badly blonde (often other colours too) hair, the green charity shop cardi! But I think I am seriously too old for full on emo, so just a little flash of rock/emo here and there, a more sophisticated emo is what I am aiming for in my head entirely of course. I think, once i have the boots, then the rest will fall into place. Without the boots, everything else will not look so great.

I really am not a boden girl. But DD is a mini boden girl, i love the kids stuff, when it is in a sale . I sold a well worn mini boden dress on ebay for £6 more than i bought it new in a sale!

Hmm. There's some funky t-shirts in all saints for £30ish. I have a lovely grey one with some sort of living bird on it, odd for All Saints!

PavlovtheCat · 31/03/2010 23:36

a living bird , i was going to get the 'fall of man' t-shirt, but i prefer the mens one. Although, they are also designed for uber skinny men so would probably fit me! DH would make me into one of their skulls if I spent £30 on a t-shirt. I will keep an eye out for some on ebay that dont have skulls on or 'baddies' as DD would say!

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 31/03/2010 23:38

living as in not skulls IYSWIM. The shop does freak me out a bit, it's like something out of Jack the Ripper, chains and meat hooks. Why???

PavlovtheCat · 01/04/2010 06:47

hehe i did guess you did not mean a real live tweeting one .

I sort of thought it more apocalyptic, the remains after the end of the earth style. Which I kind of like, not the full on look of the models, just a bit here and there, like, the boots and a top, or a t-shirt, or maybe one set of the whole schebang, just to see the look on my friends' faces! The kids clothing is definitely a no-no, the models look like they need a good bath and some nice colours on them!

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 01/04/2010 22:47

Can you get some plain t-shirts and customise them?
