Batiste Dry Shampoo

I'm in love.

I have crapola very fine hair which looks like I've been dipping it in grease after about 2 days without washing. However, I decided to try out Batiste (handbag sized, I normally use Klorane) and used it on Sat morning. My hair was still looking good and clean this morning, after a weekend of hard-core housework. AMAZING.

[this is not an advert, just in case anyone thinks it is. I just thought I'd wax lyrical about the stuff]

AND ... my hair is really soft today (I had to wash and style it, important meeting), but I don't know if that's also down to the Batiste.

yes it's great.Makes my head itchy though.

fayeso · 29/03/2010 14:21

Makes my hair grey. Unless anyone has any ideas I think I have wasted my money!!!!

cornsilk · 29/03/2010 14:55

You are meant to brush it out!

Pinkmarshmallow · 29/03/2010 15:45

fayeso, you can now get specail ones for black hair and brunettes....that might help you. I dont brush mine out cos brushing makes my hair frizzy, but rubbing it in to the scalp enough gets rid of the grey.

Lutyens · 29/03/2010 16:37

Yes, I rub it into my scalp and that takes out the grey residue. I wouldn't be without my Batiste, it's a miracle in a can

TheYearOfTheCat · 29/03/2010 18:15

Where do you get it? How much?

BunnyLebowski · 29/03/2010 18:18

I spent 10 minutes laughing my ass off yesterday at photos posted on facebook my a very vain acquaintance on a night out.

In every single picture she's duckfacing and pouting without realising the entire top of her head is grey like she's just been through the Ghost Train and got caught in the cobwebs. Someone actually commented on her going ott with the baptiste.

I won't be buying. Would rather just wash my hair properly than try to cover up the grease.

Fleecy · 29/03/2010 18:33

I love the stuff - it enables to me to be even more rubbish about washing my hair than I am normally.

However, I am blonde-ish so maybe that helps. I would never use it for a night out though.

Zembo · 29/03/2010 18:48

I only started using it in the last week or so, got the one for black hair and its fab. Just means I can wash my hair every third rather than every other day and still look ok. Very time saving.

champagnesupernova · 29/03/2010 18:50

There's a james brown one which is more ££ but not as grey as Batiste

Ojon do a good one too but think it is pricey

MrsMeow · 30/03/2010 12:46

Do the black and brown ones not stain your scalp/fingers though? I usually use a Trevor Sorbie hair extender freshener whatsit as I only wash my hair every other day or else it's just a big frizzy mess, but I think it must be discontinued as I can't find it anywhere and am just about to run out

I was looking at the Batiste stuff today, but was put off at the thought of it staining.

fayeso · 31/03/2010 09:48

Thanks, I will look for the one for dark hair-I did try and brush it out, but this then made my hair frizzy and grey!!!, not what you want 20 mins before the school run!!!!

mummee09v · 31/03/2010 10:47

MrsMeow · 31/03/2010 13:08

pollywollydoodle · 31/03/2010 14:12
