I bought some in River Island today, but I won't wear them until we see a significant rise in the temperature here, looking at a low of at least 1 in the next few days and a high of 5 degrees, snow forecast on Monday and Tuesday, sigh.

CaptainPicardsPineapple · 27/03/2010 23:58

NOW I'm wearing the duvet

samsonara · 28/03/2010 09:03

you can start today as it's officially British Summer Time...but you might want to pack wellies and a woolly jumper in your bag too

ABetaDad · 28/03/2010 09:08

The weather forecast says its going to snow next week in the UK.

"N'er cast a clout 'til May is out!"

moondog · 28/03/2010 09:44

Aye but ABeta, that refers to the mayflower and not the month.

Not a lot of people know that.

I shall be in a day or so whewn escape to tropical climes.

cocolepew · 28/03/2010 09:45

I started last week [daring] no glads though, only Converse.

Ossom · 28/03/2010 09:47

linene trousers makeyou fat imo

cocolepew · 28/03/2010 09:50

Not if you have a racing snake figure like moi.

Exogenesis · 28/03/2010 09:52

ME... Well only to work infact i onl didn't wwear them during the snow.... but then it is super hot at work

traceybath · 28/03/2010 10:02

I am still in boots. Would think linen trousers would look most odd at the moment - its cold.

Bumperlicious · 28/03/2010 10:14

I Don't Do linen trousers as I generally Don't Do ironing, that's the one thing I hate about summer clothes, the fact that they all bloody need ironing!

cyb · 28/03/2010 10:14

no sandals here yet altho I have worn shoe boots with a glimpse of bare ankle under my jeans

ABetaDad · 28/03/2010 11:05

moondog - where I am the daffodils aren't even out never mind the Mayflowers.

Mind you I did try a pair of old linen trousers on last week I had in my wardrobe and found rather pleasingly that they are looser about the waist than last year.

Megglevache · 28/03/2010 11:07

me with nipp tassles and sun block.

Are you mad, linen, now?

Brrrrrr.

foxytocin · 28/03/2010 11:09

the first linen trews thread of the season for me.

Are they lined?

missmoopy · 28/03/2010 11:16

Me, for work. On warmer days of course.

missmoopy · 28/03/2010 11:17

No sandals though! Little pumps instead.

cocolepew · 28/03/2010 12:31

Only black ones so far though.

FiveOrangePips · 28/03/2010 13:09

The River Island ones I got are very flattering, fitted around the hips and butt and straight/loose legged, they are almost pyjama like in their comfort. The waist is quite low, but there is a little bit of ribbing on the waistband - meaning I could get a size smaller, they button up, no uncomfortable drawstring, I want a pair in every colour and weather to suit.

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 28/03/2010 13:41

Some nice ones at get my fashion.

I hate drawstrings, also the ones made of that rough, thick linen - makes my skin itch and makes me look like a plumber.

cruelladepoppins · 28/03/2010 14:43

I got some about a month ago and started wearing them straight away ... but they are plain navy, quite a heavy fabric and not wide and floaty! Last night I wore them on a night out, with poppy print crinkly top and under top. And tights underneath. Oh, and boots underneath too ...

migola · 28/03/2010 14:57

you must be mad, I'd have to wear long johns underneath
