Crocs - are they any good?

SingleMum01 · 27/03/2010 17:12

My DS 7 has size 1 feet. Am wondering whether to get him some crocs for summer hol. Are they any good, are they correct sizes. Where can I get some really cheap ones?

Thanks.

you can't get really cheap ones, I usually get them for my chaps from JL, free delivery

I don't know if mock-crocs are any good

notapizzaeater · 27/03/2010 17:17

Amazon do cheaper ones - just got my LO croc shoes "dawson" from there >£10

SingleMum01 · 27/03/2010 17:17

what is JL? how much are they? Thanks.

They are great imo. The dc's love them. They are lightweight, washable, easy to get on and off etc...like wellies for summer!

For children only...or for me as slippers/garden shoes. Or in labour!

I get them from Lookatmycrazyshoes.com

I saw them reduced in Sports Soccer the other week.

weegiemum · 27/03/2010 17:20

We had several pairs of mock-crocs which all broke really easily.

I ended up buying the proper ones and they have been fabulous for me the kids. IME they come up a little small but then we all have wide feet.

I don't care what the fashionistas say, I love mine!

princessmel · 27/03/2010 17:21

JL John Lewis...?

WeeShuggy · 27/03/2010 17:21

Asda et al do versions of crocs but they gave my DC blisters. I suppose it depends on the shape of the foot though.

John Lewis

here

Pizza, can you link to yours please??

princessmel · 27/03/2010 17:22

Ours always come up big!

They are sized differently to usual shoes, they have size guidelines on the crazy shoe website..also Jellyegg website.

theagedparent · 27/03/2010 17:24

only £10 here for kids crocs

SingleMum01 · 27/03/2010 17:40

Amazon croc "shoes" with backs and all, lined a swell. DS - 7 adores these, he is a 13.5 so got the 1's and they are a little loose but he is wearing socks here www.amazon.co.uk/Crocs-Junior-Dawson-Slip-10512-070-121/dp/B001U88UI0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid =1269711457&sr=8-1-spell

Normal crocs from Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dshoes&field-keywords=crocs some of these are less than a tenner and free delivery on lots of them.

SingleMum01 · 27/03/2010 17:42

princess - found it, doh!

My DS has a width fitting of G would he fit okay in the Crayman version?

OP posts:
notapizzaeater · 27/03/2010 17:44

DS "G" and hes fine

OhFuck · 27/03/2010 17:44

I have Caymans and my feet are massively wide - they are fine.

I don't care a jot about fashion, they're mega comfy and they last well too. My pal got me a pair when I was pregnant with DS and they're still good 3 years later. Fab for nipping out to the washing line, , putting the bins out, mooching around in. Not fab for being so comfy you forget you're wearing them and turn up in Tesco with them on - even worse with white socks underneath

ChippyMinton · 27/03/2010 17:52

sports direct usually have genuine crocs for around a tenner

louloulouise · 09/05/2010 12:13

We've had crocs from sports direct at a very good price but otherwise tend to buy from www.sweetfeetshoes.co.uk who have several styles available, some with discounts, lots of colour choices.
