I have 2 dc, ds 12 weeks and ds 4 next week so needs to be practical. I need to revamp wardrobe as feeling really dowdy and old and fat I can spend some money but not loads but what to buy? What are other mums wearing? Any advice..please

also this with dark jeans would draw the eye upwards

Maybe you don't have a belly!! i am rudely presuming. what age are you btw?1 if you're 21 you wouldn't wear this no matter how badly you wanted to look taller and more stream-lined. I was a barrel for AGES after my dc2

Gerkin, I've gone through several pairs of fly shoes. They're great because they're so easy to run around in and you have the benefit of the height the comfort of flats. They are kind of expensive though, and the quality isn't as good as you'd want. The rubber wedge part isn't solid. They wear out quickly if you do a lot of walk. Unfortunately. I am going to get those clark's ones, just to wear with jeans, merely for the purposes of launching me 3 inches into the air!

But basically, shoes that give you height, you can't have enough of them when you're 5.2" and not 'fighting fit' !

Thanks everyone Maggie luckily and somewhat amazingly following to c sections my tummy is pretty flat not flat enough to bare, but is in pretty good shape and I have a pretty small waist I think as everything is too big around the waist. I am 30 atm although I am prepared to deny that.

So I like the ideas of wedges but must be comfy for walking, dresses, tunics and skirts but what do I wear under tunics? And I definately need a denim jacket I think.

More specifics my chest is an ok size, everything I own is too big around the waist, my collarbone bit is slim, stomach reasonably ok, I think my weight is on my hips and thighs.
