I like straight jeans that are not too thin or stretchy but also not too formal looking. Any ideas please?

Topshop Marthas

boogywoogy · 25/03/2010 10:40

Thanks, will have a look at both of these pairs.

I have never tried Boden trousers of any kind. What is the fit like?

What is the waist like on the Martha's - is it very low?

Whoops, didn't mean to write Martha's like that

toast. only wish i didnt have post-baby arse or would get them myself.

LadyBiscuit · 25/03/2010 10:44

Not really low but not waist height - bit in between. No builder's bum when you sit down which is the important bit!

Horton · 25/03/2010 10:46

Levi 627s are good.

fishie · 25/03/2010 10:53

uniqlo

HappyHome · 25/03/2010 12:46

Another vote for Boden. After trying many, many pairs I have to conceed that these are the best (imo). Fit wise if you are between sizes then go for the larger size.

Pannacotta · 25/03/2010 13:18

Another vote for Top SHop Marthas.
You could get a pair on ebay to try them out before spending £40 on them, I say that as not everyone likes them as they can slip down if you have a flat bum...

boogywoogy · 25/03/2010 16:41

A flat bum is not something I own!

Top shop Marthas are great. I ended up buying two pairs and am waiting for my third pair to come in as i had to order them. They are very flattering and look great.

OllieWollieWoo · 26/03/2010 08:09

Question re TS Mathas - what waist size would equate to a size 12 or 14? I never know - and need to order some online!

Lionstar · 26/03/2010 08:18

I hate to say this, but M&S?

southeastastra · 26/03/2010 08:19

these are fab i have three pairs and now i see they are doing white!

2madboys · 26/03/2010 08:21

I have some nice ones from Dorothy Perkins - only 20 quid.

Pannacotta · 26/03/2010 12:45

Ollie in Marthas 30" is a 12, 32 a 14.
As suggested perhaps worth getting a pair on ebay to try for size and to see how you get on with them.

CountessDracula · 26/03/2010 12:49

Uniqlo 3d ones are brilliant

CountessDracula · 26/03/2010 12:52

these are the navy ones
they do black too

CountessDracula · 26/03/2010 12:53

They are not too thin and no stretching or bagging

OllieWollieWoo · 26/03/2010 22:11

Ooo thanks Pannacotta! Will look on ebay.
