I am desperate for help with my hair plaase.

I'm 22 and my hair is a tiny bit longer than shoulder length and thick and brown. I've got a sweeping fringe which comes down to the bottom of my nose and my hair is naturally curly.

I've always straightened my hair but now with my DS i just don't have time to do dry and straighten it so i've been wearing it curly with my fringe pinned back but i just feel so frumpy.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what i can do with it please? I'd like to be able to tie it up or just do something else with it.

Newbeginning1 · 22/03/2010 14:25

newbeginning I wish I had your hair it is lovely and glosssy looking. What about the other month when posh had hers loose curls around chin length.Or what about a few caramel foils through the front? either way I think your hair looks lovely.Your baby looks lovely too.

What a gorgeous baby!

And mummy not so bad either...

I think you should go with something that works with the curl rather than against it, as it will be far easier to maintain. What about something like this?

Bibithree · 22/03/2010 16:23

Would kill for your hair! Mine is the same length but super fine and thin and will not hold a curl no matter what! My hairdresser always says work with what you've got, so maybe ask your hairdresser what would the best for your hair. Shorter may not be good as you won't have weight to weigh the curls down, maybe some long layers and keep the length so you can have it straight or curly. Agree with some foils round the front in a lighter colour to lift it round your face.
Good luck with finding your perfect cut.

How do you see a profile?

Go to a hairdresser who can cut curly hair, one who will understand how your hair behaves. It makes all the difference.

Straightened hair has been popular for so long now. I suggested on another thread that you ask someone with good wavy or curly hair who cuts theirs, and be prepared to consider an older hairdresser - someone trained before 1990.

Back in the 1980s you would have been the envy of all your friends. Naturally curly hair shouldn't be straightened and you are very lucky.
Embrace the curl.

Haven't seen your photo.

I think she's probably made a decision by now this thread is over 10 years old!!

MikeUniformMike · 19/11/2020 19:42

Nah, she's probably been battling bushy lockdown hair, hers and her curly haired 11 yr old's.
