what do you wear to the gym? Have just rejoined and need new stuff, all ideas welcome!

Anti sweaty-bastard gear a must (unless you only perspire gently, like a laydee). Just t-shirt (anti-sweat), tracky bottoms and trainers really.

Just rejoined myself recently and have found the anti-sweat stuff a god-send actually. But I am a sweaty-betty.

yes mee too!

should the anti sweaty stuff be super tight (as DH insists ) or looser, as I would prefer?

Depends on the current state of your figure I would say. I am at the loose-clothing stage and likely to be there for some time to come. I dream of prancing about in those lycra-esque crop top things.

Sweaty Betty is fab!! I also like 'sheactive' They have different brands such as Stella McCartney for Adidas, Nike and so on. Nice kit pieces there.

I at first wore baggy sweat pants and more fitted top (to stop gaping whilst in down dog)

But once I had started to improve my shape, I started to wear fitted stuff - really helped me see which areas were still 'problem' and which ones were good! I only do classes at gym though, so maybe not what you're after. But for that I wear cropped fitted pants, and halter top (but definately NOT cropped!)

I brought these in pink a while ago and they are so comfy that when Debenhams had their recent blue cross sale I brought the green ones too.www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_102010205663_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EWomen %7ETrousers+%26amp%3B+shorts

Depends what you are planning to do at the gym. The dry fit anti sweat stuff is really good for tops. They come in fitted vest top style and as t-shirts.

For bottoms beware of light colours if you sweat a lot - light colours can make you look as if you have wet yourself - not a good look!

tk maxx and sports world places tend to have a good range at good prices. Good sports bra is probably your most important purchase.

For yoga type classes I have the same type of trousers as above and they are very comfortable
