I need a dress for my mums 60th b'day meal at the end of April.

Doesn't have to be a dress, but I would like one, as I am always in jeans/leggings.

I am 5'2, size 12ish with E cup boobs and a bit of a belly. Dark hair and eyes, oh and I am 31 if that helps.

Would like something that can be worn with black tights and heels preferably, especially black patent heels as I already have some and I like them.

Budget is the cheaper the better.

Only thing that has taken my eye so far is this but it won't go with the shoes I have and i'm not 100% sure about the colour.

HELP

lots of petite numbers here

aarghhelp · 16/03/2010 16:59

this?

MrsMorgan · 16/03/2010 17:04

Thank's

Not overly keen on any of the Wallis dresses. The M&S one looks ok but they only have it in black in my size. Was hoping for a bit if colour.

Have just seen one thats ok on the River Island site but don't think I can link. Product number is 589348.

Not 100% sure about that one either though

Heathcliffscathy · 16/03/2010 17:25

oooo that isabella oliver dress is fandabulous!

aarghhelp · 16/03/2010 17:35

or this - I don't know how you'd wash it tho

FalafelAtYourFeet · 16/03/2010 17:51

I think with norkage and a belly that IO one wuld look dreadful, sorry. Plus v high neckline not good for those who are large of nork. You need a deep v or scoop neck IME.

FalafelAtYourFeet · 16/03/2010 17:52

would you go with Next? lots of nice ones in there.

FalafelAtYourFeet · 16/03/2010 17:54

this is nice too and quite versatile

The website says it is not as shiny as it looks on the pictures.

janeiteisFedUp · 16/03/2010 17:54

I don't think that the Isabella O one would be good on E-cups.

This one from Warehouse is lovely irl but would probably need something under it, as quite low. I am exactly the same size and shape as you by the sound of it and that sort of shape is good for me.

Love this and although it looks black in the pic, the text says it's dark purple. Not seen it irl.

MrsMorgan · 16/03/2010 18:47

Thank you all.

From all of those links, I love the Bravissimo one. They also have another one that I like in pink/purple.

I am hard to please I think

Not sure wether the Bravissimo ones would be too long on me though. Suppose I could see if my mum could alter it though.

my vote is for the bravvisimo one, it would be super flattering and very sexy

janeiteisFedUp · 16/03/2010 19:10

Bravissimo stuff tends to come up very long I think.

FalafelAtYourFeet · 16/03/2010 22:08

MrsMorgan- I am 5'3" and the Bravissimo stuff is fine on me. They do have free returns I think, and there might even be a shop near you that you could try? I am similar size/shape to you and I have found the Bravissimo clothes to be super flattering and also long lasting- their stuff tends to wash well IME.
