OP posts:
bibbitybobbityhat · 11/03/2010 19:59

Oh deary deary deary deary deary me. Its actually roffle on the floor material. And to think Mumsnet almost had a formal link with the DM .

notyummy · 11/03/2010 20:03

Og good grief. The whole concept is obviously bollocks.....and they haven't even picked nice clothes on the whole either.

It's so bad it could almost be a spoof.

bibbitybobbityhat · 11/03/2010 20:11

Actually, perhaps it is a spoof?

duckyfuzz · 11/03/2010 20:14

maybe they've done it just to get a reaction from mn

assumetheposition · 11/03/2010 20:16

I don't understand, why is the woman in the first picture wearing a cream skirt.

Have these people actually ever laid eyes on a child? As far as I can see from the photo, it does not appear to be splattered with shreddies, snot or felt tip.

And what the hell has she got in that bag? Another child? Is that why it's called the Bruno bag? Because darling baby Bruno is actually in it

And as for the third outfit

deaddei · 11/03/2010 20:18

Who will be the first to spot someone in one of the outfits at school?
I am working at 3 independent schools next week.........

doggiesayswoof · 11/03/2010 20:23

Jeez.

PMSL Jack Spratt

lol at changing clothes on the way to work - what, like on the bus, or while stopped at a red light?

LynetteScavo · 11/03/2010 20:29

I am one of the very few people who does work in an office, and am able to do the school run - the other working mums tend to turn up at school in nurses uniforms, etc, if at all...I mean how many working woman, who earn enough to wear those clothes actually do the school pick up themselves?

Any way, I do acutally get changed for the school run... I take off my heals and put on a pair of warm winter boots, and put on a wooly hat. I also wear a great big coat over my suit,so nobody would know I've been in the office. Not height of fashion, but I'm warm, and I fit it.

BelleDameSansMerci · 11/03/2010 20:30

LMAO!!

When I drop DD off when I am en route for work, I wear my work clothes. When I drop DD off and am working from home I wear leggings and baggy jumpers. I hardly have time for a cup of tea never mind a change of clothes.

Aaaaaaaand, how dull were those clothes?

Sorry - weirdness with PC. Or possibly me.

NorkilyChallenged · 11/03/2010 20:35

BelleDame - were you wearing the correct clothing when you posted that? Incorrect attire can lead to double posting you know.

HellBent · 11/03/2010 20:39

It is easy to spot the difference, apparently we can't wear heels while doing the school run

HellBent · 11/03/2010 20:41

It is quite beige as well isn't it

chegirlWILLbeserene · 11/03/2010 20:45

I do this.

I have a fushia pink volour tracksuit teamed with fake pink uggs to wear on the school run.

When I get home I change into an understated mink volour tracksuit with tan fake uggs in order to work from home do a bit of housework

Depending the weather I may accessorise with a full length cardi and a cheeky fake pashmina (I have of course a variety of colours to go with tracksuits - I am not a slattern).

I think the phone is ringing? Could it be the DM?

BelleDameSansMerci · 11/03/2010 21:00

NC - LOL!!

aristocat · 11/03/2010 21:08

this is hilarious, would think its a spoof if the clothes were nicer

i mean FFS - what planet are they on???

elliott · 11/03/2010 21:29

Crikey. I think the only people with time to get changed after the school run for the rest of the day are those who don't have a job to go to...

BelleDameSansMerci · 11/03/2010 21:37

I'm fairly certain there will come a time when I do actually drop DD off while wearing my dressing gown and slippers...

SixtyFootDoll · 12/03/2010 11:35

I bet those damned 'pedlar' types get changed after the school run, into something quirky and well made from natural fibres!

darkandstormy · 12/03/2010 14:26

what about the builders bum slouch jeans combo.Always my favourite look and one I sport wether at work or play

DarrellRivers · 12/03/2010 14:32

Main accessory I would need would be a loud hailer/megaphone for shouting
'Teeth, shoes, hair, coats' at 2 minute intervals on a working morning
Not a frigging extra pair of shoes
I think DH could easily replace me with a recorded message, a domestic public service anouncement

Starbear · 12/03/2010 16:25

If you had the time and money you won't be wearing that stuff. I read DM when I was 14 yrs and realised they repeated femail articles. I'm not surprised they are still do it. I am going to wear a skirt and heels when I start in my new post next Monday. I've been wearing a uniform for 22 year and I'm going to enjoy not looking like a sack of potatoes but...... how long will it last I wonder

PoppityMoppityandCottontail · 12/03/2010 19:28

DarrellRivers, me too.

Perhaps that's what she has in the mahoosive handbag.
Now that would be a useful article

How to stylishly conceal items necessary for and hazards inherent in child stuffed mornings.

OtterInaSkoda · 12/03/2010 19:45

Last time I said this was on that thread about those people who looted a French factory and were attempting to flog a giant spanner for some daft amount, but this deserves a stout

I've seen it all now

imo
