Jergens, what's the difference?

I've been aware of Jergens body lotions since I was about 18 (I'm 41 now)and sometimes used it. Back then it was only sold in Afro Haircare shops.

I went to a shop last week and there was a Jergens range there, same types as they sell in High street shops, i.e skin firming, skin hydrating, age defence etc. However, the packaging and size of product is different.

I bought a 621ml bottle for £5.99, yet in somewhere like Boots, they sell the product 200ml for about the same price. Does anyone know why this would be and what the difference between products are? They seem the same to me.

Thanks

When I was about 16 Jergens used to be available in Boots, in white bottles. A few years later it disappeared. I really liked it so I was pleased to buy it in New York when I went on holiday, and I used to buy it in bulk and bring it home (I know, I'm sad!)

Is your Jergens in white bottles with different coloured pump tops ( I think the skin hydrating is called 'Ultra Hydrating' and has a green top)? If so, it could be the US version. It's slightly different in smell and consistency IMO. But they are both still good products (and yours sounds better value!)

I had a tube of the firming one and felt it might have worked. Hard to tell but it seemed nice.

They are white bottles Melfish, with different pumps I think. I think it's a bit of a rip off Boots and the like sell the smallish tubes for around £4.99, when elsewhere they sell huge bottles for a similar price. Like you say, it's probably the US version.
