Clinique City Block or Liz Earle Face Sunscreen?

Nearly bought City Block SPF40 today but then came home and looked on the Liz Earle website. Their sunscreen is a bit more expensive however large tube but SPF25.

I know people have been recommending the City Blcok on here but does anyone use Liz Earle?

I've tried both and much prefer City block. The Liz Earle stuff was far too thick and difficult to apply for me but I hear they have re-formulated their sun protection range and will be bringing it out soon. I have very fussy skin and loved the City Block and will be buying some more soon.

I use Clinique city block but would be interested to hear more about the Liz Earle. I've currently converted to her products (courtesy of QVC ) and my skin has improved no end. The lip and eye serum is amazing and my excema of 15 years has gone. Hadn't heard she's done a sunscreen so will be watching this thread with interest

I have used City Block for about 15 years and everyone thinks I look 10 years younger- I am 50+ and have no wrinkles at ll except a few tiny ones corner of my eyes- and I reckon it's the sun screen that helps. it makes a great base for make up.

I don't rate Liz E- sorry. Clinque tests their stuff on something like 600 people 20 times and if there is 1 reaction they re-formulate.

Is there any difference between the SPF25 and the SPF40 - apart from the obvious

It is the obvious really! The 40 SPF means that you can stay out in the sun for 40 times longer than if you had no sunscreen on- compared with 25 times.

The product looks and feels the same to me in either.

I love Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, but not the sunscreen - like Mummyisamonster I found it very heavy. I use Clinique City Block SPF 40 - it is excellent, and not thick or greasy - well worth buying.

Hi,
I'm a fan of Liz Earle products except the sunscreens! It's a physical block rather than a chemical block so great if that's what you want. I'm sallow- olive when tanned in skin tone, when I applied Liz Earle, it was as if I put a layer of sudocreme/ flour on my face (think zinc white ski block), it really applies as pale & opaque as the colour in the tube. Trying to apply bronzing powder on top just made it even worse. I've used city block and it applies without a major change in skin colour. I switched to boots soltan sunblock as it's often on BOGOFF and rate either that or the cityblock. HTH
