Yet more clueless questions about what to wear with this?

Right, I read a thread about tights that has put the wind up me. Sorry it's the Party That Must Not Be Named again. I'm wearing this in the black and white, plus a pair of black patent flip flops. I'm 40 and my lower legs, though the most attractive part of me, may be a step too far to expose, apparently. Black leggings, black opaques or... something else... if Boden did a niqab i'd bloody snap it up i tell you.

How can you wear opaque tights with flip flops?

Heels please!

SixtyFootDoll · 28/02/2010 22:24

You cant wear flip flops!
Black courts (chunky) and opaques?

choosyfloosy · 28/02/2010 22:28

I can't afford new shoes. Can't afford new tights either but can probably stretch to that.

They are nice - sandals is probably a better word i guess. but you're right of course i can't wear tights with them [doh] well, leggings it will have to be...

Is it too late to beg for shoes from multi millionaire Johnnie?

choosyfloosy · 28/02/2010 22:32

What kind of Mumsnetter would greet a lovely present by saying 'what, no shoes with it?' ??

So have you had to buy a Boden dress Just to o to this party?
Bloody outrageous.
If MN want people to wear Boden then matbe Boden should have sponsored the event and given outfits to competiotion winners?

cyb · 28/02/2010 22:33

I think its a cheek too, but then I'm an ungrateful wretch

SixtyFootDoll · 28/02/2010 22:34

Oh no it was given to you, I will wind my neck back in.
You can get modern cheap shoes in Peacocks/ New Look
Last tiem I went out I got a pair of shoes in New Look for £4 and footless tights for £6!!

choosyfloosy · 28/02/2010 22:34

NOoooooo sixty, lovely boden have been too too lovely and given us a lovely freebie!!! don't diss the johnster!

and i'm not on the breadline or anything which is why i can afford to travel to the party, but i can't do train fares AND new shoes in the same month!

you could wear some black footless tights, with flip flops but make sure the tights come over your heal and cross your foot half way,

v cool in an ex dancer type way

cyb · 28/02/2010 22:36

yes good old new look loads of shoes here

choosyfloosy · 28/02/2010 22:37

OK will try new look

never thought they might do shoes

OP posts:
cyb · 28/02/2010 22:37

They're not paying your travel expenses either? The cheek!

choosyfloosy · 28/02/2010 22:43

well that's the only thing they're not paying for

but the free clothing has been unexpectedly stressful

wish i'd gone for shoes tbh, except that i have major problems with mail order shoes due to bunion issues

wow that page of new look shoes is erm... forceful isn't it? [retreats to flats]

OP posts:
choosyfloosy · 28/02/2010 22:44

OP posts:
cyb · 28/02/2010 22:47
