Im trying to avoid Boden because the Summer catalogue is very uninspiring, its just so easy to get sucked in. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get something abit different from, good quality, she's my niece so I can extend the budget!! Or, would you not bother with clothes and, go for something else?

David Fusseneger ones here - ds was given this one and it feels a LOT more than £10

Frugi have nice organic ones with babygrows / hats / bibs to match - check the sale section for some bargainous ones

If clothes, not small sizes get something that'll work when she's around 6-9 months as people like to buy tiny things & parents will be forking out later on, but consider the season when she's that age.

Oh and congrats on your niece!

As usual, its always the non-sale stuff I am drawn to! thanks for those ideas.

I think leather soft shoes make a beautiful gift - and are also v useful for when they start crawling about outside. Mine both wore them til they were ready for shoes. I'd get 6-9mths as a present, though they do do them in newborn (but what's the point?)

Blankets lovely too. Or I did appreciate gorgeous babygros in 3-6mths or 6-9mths. Not dresses for tiny babies... unless you get the ones with knickers sewn in...

Yes, babygrows and vests are a constant buy, and socks with sticky none-slip bits on the bottom!

Ive never seen so much lovely stuff. I can see this is going to be very difficult or damaging to my credit card!
