...my hair's weak/brittle/thinning!

How can I possibly do this?

Much thanks in advance for any responses!

lemon does it - but just becuase its from nature mightn't mean its necessarily any good - worth a google of natural products - but lemon juice just comes through - when the sun hits it it gets lighter

I would avoid the lemon juice until you speak to a hairdresser.

Highlights are a less damaging way of lightening hair as the hairdresser can also add some nourishing lowlights too and these can improve the condition of your hair. The highlights themselves will add volume and thickness so good for thinning hair but you will have to invest some money in some good hair cair products (cheap is not best when it comes to treating damaged lightened hair)

After the hairdresser has done the highlights she can always add a hair mask or treatment too, for extra help.

I do find though, that there is some breakage that follows highlights (think it is all that tugging etc) so I would only go down that road if recommened. The hairdresser may give you some products to use at home for a month, and then ask you to return to see if your hair will be in better shape to take a colour.
