This morning we were digging out our passports in preparation for going on holiday in a couple of weeks. DH opened mine and looked at the photo, looked at me, and then back at the photo.

DH 'Oh Alibaba, I am sorry - I've aged you.'

Me 'WTF???'

My passport photo is 4 years old, and in that time I have had DS, probably only about 2 years' worth of sleep, and put on a stone. However, this is DH we are talking about who has always had the thickest rose-tinted spectacles when it comes to me so things really must be bad!

So, I need help, ideas etc. I am 32 and currently use Protect and Perfect. Don't really want to spend much more than I am (so £20ish for a pot of moisturiser), but obviously if there is some uber-product out there......

I have already resolved today to drink more water, eat less crap, go to bed earlier and try and fit in more exercise!

I know what you mean, I am shocked when i see pictures of myself at the moment, all wrinkly and knackered looking.
I am a sucker for all types of potions but the thing that i have noticed has worked most is Omega 3 tablets (Biocare Mega EPA)that plumps up your skin from the inside. You have to take them for a while but i think they work.

Also Vitalumiere foundation for when you just need to cover it all up!

My Mum bought me some anti-wrinkle cream for Xmas - mmmm, thanks Mum!
I like the Olay Regenerist products, but am also trying their 'aqua physics' one at the moment. Skin feels nice, but not sure it makes me look any younger

Yes Omega 3 caps are good as is remembering to wear sun blocker whenever you go out, even when cloudy and don't forget your neck and back of hands as these are often overlooked.

Boots No7 Aqueous cream is a great inexpensive cream that does actually work on wrinkles. There was a program on the Beeb that compared a bunch of anti-wrinkle products and the Boots was the the best performer. It was up against some very expensive and well known brands.

It could be time to start thinking about some facial exercises to tighten up the facial muscles. There is a great one called Facialwizard that my Mum uses, it has isometric type ones which are meant to be the most effective ones and she does look ok.

Finally don't frown as this will only help increase your wrinkling, smile whenever you can as this is much better for you.

3 Point Cream by Olay is fantastic. I've tried everything including Creme de la Mer but Olay's is the best.

janeite · 28/02/2010 19:23

Olay Regenerist v good, especially the serum. Boots Time Delay do a thing to 'fill in' lines too, which is good.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/03/2010 22:31

Thank you ladies

Jodevizes - I will have a look at those exercises. Always wear sunblock, 365 days a year - my dad is a dermatologist

Looks like Olay might be it then, I did try regenerist a couple of years ago but it irritated my skin so perhaps I'll get some 3 Point testers and see how I get on.
