Help! Baby sandal emergency!

MrsMotMot · 25/02/2010 20:43

I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks time to visit my parents in a tropical country- none of the shops have any baby sandals in, plus I live in the sticks, so I need to get some online.

I really like these but they don't have DS's size (he's 15months old and a size 4). I am a stickler for really traditional shoes and sandals. But they are so hard to find, esp for boys.

Really hoping the power of MN style&beauty can help...

and btw I was going to disable the squeaker on those sandals, ugh!

how about these

audrey68 · 25/02/2010 20:50

where i work (independant shoe shop in west scotland) we have quite a few sandals in already, havent put a lot out on shelves tho so maybe worth popping in to a few and asking, also we have some left from last year in our storage unit so again worth popping in/phoning some local ones and asking.

No advice sorry. Just wanted to let you know how much your thread title cheered me up!

suwoo · 25/02/2010 20:56

Haven't got time to do it for you now, but have you checked Ebay? There are always continental style sandals on there. I love them too, in a kitsch retro way.

suwoo · 25/02/2010 20:58

Ok, have had a quick look.......

these?

suwoo · 25/02/2010 21:00

Love these Timberland ones

suwoo · 25/02/2010 21:01

More chipmunk ones.

MrsMotMot · 25/02/2010 21:03

Thanks all. Glad to have brought you some cheer YoginiBikini!

The Clarks ones are a bit too enclosed- it's going to be really hot.

Hadn't thought of ebay suwoo. Will try there.

I saw some I liked on Mothercare Comfy but they only went up to 12m, urgh.

There are a few independent shops in the villages here Audrey (NE Scotland!) I'll ask, good tip.

Found these but am highly worried I won't be able to turn the squeak off!

Hi have a look at www.findlaythomas.co.uk they have lots of traditional sandals for wee boys.

nappyaddict · 26/02/2010 17:58

I have seen sandals in both Next and M&S if you would prefer to be able to try them on?

nappyaddict · 26/02/2010 18:03

I like these

MrsMotMot · 26/02/2010 20:16

Thanks ladies- ebay came up trumps! Will let DS try the squeak just for the look on his face, before removing it and putting it in the bin!
