Cheery- I recently bought a plain knitted dress from white stuff which is absolutley gorgeous, and short enough to go over jeans too on days when I'm on the floor with the dcs.

What is your budget?

cheeryface · 25/02/2010 12:55

I like the first two-especially the prices!

CaptainNancy · 25/02/2010 19:18

The first one is a perfect shape... but it is 100% acrylic, so not good I'm afraid.

white stuff is online (though I can never find much on their site) - they also sell through john lewis too.

CaptainNancy · 25/02/2010 22:14

The one I just bought is v similar to this one though without drawstring. I am 5' 0" and it is perfect length on me, even sleeves are perfect. A little like this one (though sleeves look enormous on that one tbh)

PoppityPing · 25/02/2010 22:46

this is nice they have brown too.

CaptainNancy · 26/02/2010 19:45

cheery- I saw a couple of lovely dresses in Wallis today...
This doesn't look much here... but it's actually lovely in rl.
The other dress was a knitted long-sleeved dress, but isn't on the website I'm afraid.

I am also a little bit short, I got a great t-shirt dress from H&M last week, 3/4 sleeves £12.99 (95% cotton, 5% elastane). It has a scoop neck and is very comfortable and stretchy. I really wish I had bought it in black now.

cheeryface · 28/02/2010 21:07

I'm 5'1 and recently bought this it looks really nice on, especially with a belt

wardrobeinsider · 01/03/2010 14:17

Hi there,

Here are some more ideas...

Long sleeve option from Oasis that could be worn with a top/vest underneath or without as it gets warmer.

And have you thought about buying a short sleeve dress and slipping a cardi over or a long sleeve top underneath? That way you'll have something for spring and summer.

This one from Next is so pretty and versatile.

Happy shopping xx

I've just bought a holdall off the tesco website thanks to you lot.

DH looked like this when I blamed MN. I don't think he believed me!

Clure · 02/03/2010 21:20

Its just above the knee, the fabric is silk and so quite "wafty" I have bought some dark navy tights and will wear my 3/4 length black boots with a bit of a heel. (Sulking cos I paid full price a few weeks ago)
