On ebay for £55. Julien Macdonald for debenhams. Managed to get seller down from £79.

I am 32. I won't look like mutton will I? I know it was in last year but I think they are a bit of a classic.

I'm a bit worried that the asymetric zip will make my tits look ginormous but I can wear it unzipped.

I will wear it will summer dresses, jeans, skirts and trousers.

Hope I havn't made a mistake.

I think that sounds lovely. I bought mine 7 years ago now and still like wearing it, regardless of current trends. As you say, a bit of a classic.

Also, you are young!!!

poshsinglemum · 21/02/2010 22:23

What about the tits area? I am a 38 dd due to bf. Normally v necks suit me but the diagonal zip might look odd. We'll see soon enough!

nickschick · 21/02/2010 22:25

if people are looking at your norks it wont matter what shoes you wear pmsl .

poshsinglemum · 21/02/2010 22:26

Hi I'll find a link. The pic isn't great but I think it will be fab. Excited now about new trendy image! I like a bit of the rock look too.

When they look good they always look good

nickschick · 21/02/2010 22:35

Im skint now lol.

Flightattendant · 22/02/2010 09:47

i have grown out of mine

It is pretty old though, I think I got it when had first motorbike and I was thin and childless.

I love it though would not wear it unless out on bike...I would feel like a posey twit

Flightattendant · 22/02/2010 09:48

asymmetircal zip is a bit norktastic, but always looks better done up imo.

youngblowfish · 22/02/2010 10:23

Flightattendant, if you wear something like this out without a bike

www.badboybikerjewellery.com/images/dl_jackets/dl_jacket_ladies_LJ254_09_fr.jpg

then it is hardly a fashion statement anybody would like to make. But doesn't that look lovely?

Flightattendant · 22/02/2010 10:25

Hmm I get your point, but am not entirely convinced by floral dress/ biker jacket combo.

mine's like the ones in that second link btw.

bandgeek · 22/02/2010 10:25

I hope not, I bought one a few weeks ago!

I love the biker jackets, I think they are so easy to dress up or down, and they unleash my inner rock chick

Flightattendant · 22/02/2010 10:26

If I was going to, I would wear it with t shirt and nice jeans. That would look way better than the frocks.

youngblowfish · 22/02/2010 10:38

Like this? It is nice but quite safe, I like mis-matching textures and styles, I think delicate lace looks amazing with leather. I understand it is hardly the right look for the school run but a sweet way to dress up for a date.

Flightattendant · 22/02/2010 10:46

erm... well, that's not really my cup of tea but each to their own!

I was thinking more this

and bottom right here

youngblowfish · 22/02/2010 10:57

I understand where you are coming from, but I really wouldn't want to go there .

There you go, it just goes to show how versatile the leather jacket can be!

ooh. i think i want a biker jacket. saw a mum-type woman wearing one last week over a smock and jeans with boot and it looked fab, laid back and fashionable all at the same time.

bot sure about the diagonal zip thing though...will look at all link...

youngblowfish · 22/02/2010 11:19

MayorNaze, they are lovely. My own stylish mother who is 50 wears a cream one with a diagonal zip, not unlike this one although slightly less fitted. Such a lovely casual, relaxed look.

MayorNaze · 22/02/2010 11:32

i like the one with the lacy dress (and i would wear it on school run too ...

MayorNaze · 22/02/2010 11:34

maybe a bit like this but with a round neck...

dsis has a perfect one - found it in a charity shop

youngblowfish · 22/02/2010 11:41

Charity shops are amazing for leather. I own a couple of suede jackets I found for less than a price of an average lunch ;-). Have fun hunting!

MayorNaze · 22/02/2010 11:43

am off to bath in couple of weeks - bit posher than my town- perhaps the charity shops will be a bit more cop...
