these shoes, for a bride?

I'm the bride, I've not made the final decision on the dress, but it's between two and these would look great with both, I think. What do you think?

My mum will hate them

Gorgeous!

On my wedding day I'll be wearing something like these

or these

What kind of dress are you leaning towards??

WeddingDaze · 16/02/2010 15:36

I don't like them (i dislike the stick on flower) But if you love them go for it, they're fine for a bride and all the better if they annoy the MIL

ChickandDuck · 16/02/2010 15:38

Not too high then?
this dress
or this one

i love them in red if you are feeling a little daring!

And i don't 'do' heels at all.

BunnyLebowski · 16/02/2010 15:40

Oh the second dress definitely. It's really beautiful.

Although now I don't think those shoes go with that style of dress.

Hmmmm. Let me have a look.

Don't like the first dress. It's too short and too 'night out'. And with those shoes would look very tarty. Sorry for bluntness

morethanyoubargainfor · 16/02/2010 15:41

i like your choices of dress, the second one is my favourite.

WeddingDaze · 16/02/2010 15:41

I love love love the second one!

They are only too high if you are like me and likely to break your ankle if you so much as look at them.

If you can walk in high shoes and don't mind towering over you DH if he is small, it's fine

ChickandDuck · 16/02/2010 15:42

Thats what I thought when I saw it bunny - but it's completly different when on, it's longer than it looks.

DP is a foot taller than me, so I'll be ok there!

I'm hopeless in heels though, will have to practise!

ChickandDuck · 16/02/2010 15:45

I posted the wrong second one!! ooops!
It's this one
Although I loved the other one, it didn't suit me at all!

OP posts:
WeddingDaze · 16/02/2010 15:49

That one is lovely too.

ChickandDuck · 16/02/2010 15:59

So they're love/hate shoes. I love them though so think I will go for it!

MrsMotMot · 16/02/2010 16:55

Yes go for the shoes. I got similar (they were slingback platform peeptoes, gold leather with wooden heel and platform) and you can really see them in the photos, everyone commented on the day and I have worn them LOADS since. Shoes are important!

KentuckyFriedPenguin · 16/02/2010 16:58

Theyare really pretty shoes. Would you have that colour?

I think the first dress you linked is a "night out" dress and one of your guests could potentially choose it , the second is awful but the third (ie the halter) is LOVELY

piratecat · 16/02/2010 16:59

The Anise one is beautiful and it you've the figure to pull it off, all power to you!!

i like the shoes, but imo they are just so high. i'd be worried about comfort.
