Having spent some quality time reading mags over the weekend I got the message loud and clear that we will all be wearing clogs this season. I quite like them, so was rather pleased. Yesterday I had a quick look in the Ugg shop and saw that they are doing them and very nice too imo uggclog

The only problem I have is forking out £120, so I wondered if anyone has seen some similar at a more reasonable price. Interested to hear what the MN view on clogs are.

Love clogs, but brain currently imploding at liking Uggs...

I am after these bad boys but am having similar tightness issues

(Your link doesn't work btw)

Ooh clogs with a heel!

I was hoping my fogie old birkenstock clogs would be back in again. No such luck.

STEP AWAY FROM THE CLOGS

I refuse to wear clogs. They look stupidly heavy. Will stick to my feather-light mango-coloured mary jane crocs .

I love clogs, always have.

All this chat about Hasbeens has got me lusting after these but I also like these which are possibly more practical.

I've had several pairs of closed-back Sanitas but the price has skyrocketed in the last couple of years ? they used to be £35 / pair!

Oh, really?
Brilliant, I will be fashionable again for the first time in about 20 yrs.

Love love love clogs.

PCPlumIsMyHomeboy · 16/02/2010 08:54

These look very similar to the Hasbeens, but at a fraction of the price.

For a trad clog,

I fancy these

tulpe · 16/02/2010 12:22

Step away from the clogs!!!!!

If you have anything other than a perfectly turned ankle, those SwedishHasBeens will make you look incredibly stumpy of leg.

The traditional ones will make you look as though you are en route to the operating theatre as a swab nurse........

Trust me......I'm married to a dutchman

Sorry but surely clogs are style-wise just the uncomfortable version of crocs! Will be sticking to the flip flops (or, more likely, nothing!) - I know they are equally unstylish but at least they are light and comfortable.

sugartits · 16/02/2010 17:42

oops sorry about the link - hope it works this time ugg I don't own a pair of Ugg's so it's not that I'm under their spell, but I have my eye on a pair of ugg retreat loafers for work which is why I looked in their shop. Anyway - I take all the points about being unflattering to the middle aged leg, I guess I was hoping they'd be a comfortable/casual way of wearing a heal. Love the Hasbeens btw.

I think there will be loads of clog variations out in a few weeks. I love them but don't want to pay too much. There were some nice Fly London clog-type sandles on Amazon.
