Baby Girl's clothes

DD is now almost 3 months and I am finding it difficult to find nice girl's clothes for her. Not keen on head to toe pink, and also not fussed for girly/girly stuff, I suppose I like classic/preppy kind of style, although not too preppy as she is so small!! Every time I go shopping it is just a sea of pale pink, I like fairly bold stuff, polka dots/stripes and she can take stronger colours as she is quite dark, any ideas where I can get nice stuff?

DS I found soooo much easier to dress, he usually wears Next/M & S/Joules/H&M, but their plainer styles, ie love him in a striped top and dark jeans, with trainers type of thing, and am looking for the female equivalent, although suited to a tiny baby, not asking much am I!!!

I'm not sure about their current collections (lots of pink), but for my baby boy I have in the past bought quite a bit of stuff from Gymboree in the States.

It's good value (depending on what the dollar is doing) and good quality and they have such a huge turnover of collections that there's always something new there. Also they do some ridiculous sales, then give you discount vouchers for future purchases.

I also like the fact that you don't see much of it around.

Their more expensive sister shop (which I haven't bought from - too preppy for my little monster) is Janie and Jack but again it might be a bit girly for what you are after.

Pumpkin patch? They do delivery too if you don't fancy a trip out in this weather!

H&M good for stripey tops - my favourite ones were red with white stripes and navy with green. They were boys t-shirts but at that age it makes no difference. Most of DD's clothes are either spotty or stripey with very little pink or pastel-y colours !

Zara is very good for non-pink plain classic baby clothes (at least it used to be a couple of years ago - I haven't looked at their baby range recently).

I second Zara
Little White Company
Petit Bateau.

What HappyCat said. Gap is also good, in the sales.

Polarn Y Pyret is great for bright colours, interesting patterns. Sadly not available on line in this country, but shops at Brent Cross and Westfield (that I know of).

American Apparel have babies' and childrens' T-shirts etc. in a range of colours - some quite strong.
