this is wonderful - is a jersey dress with a panel down the front that hides everything - I got it in the brown and the blue and I have had no end of people ask me where it is from - really great addition to everyday work wardrobe or can be worn over jeans or with leggings and biker or knee hig boots.

Just thought I would share.

i've got a brown one and love it, have just sent for a blue. it is lovely.

SilverSixpence · 11/02/2010 15:38

I was looking at that too the other day, I think it looks great and much more expensive then it really is.

squix · 11/02/2010 15:46

Tried it on in the shop - lovely from the front ..... from the side and back - a completley different story, very clingy.

I am,ermm,hour-glass, I think.

I have one, got it in October fashionista emoticon and I can only wear it with trousers and it is a tad short on me as a dress (5'7 1/2) - tis lovely and v flattering though and have had lots of comments

KristinaM · 11/02/2010 16:24

i ordered it last year and sent it back. it looks lovely from the front but clings hideously from the back ( i am size 10 with size 8 bottom half and it was a 10 dress)

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 11/02/2010 17:22

God I need to go and look at my arse in it...

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/02/2010 21:27

i need some serious pull it in and suck it up undies - my mate stuck a waist syncher on me the other day and i couldnt believe what a difference it made. just couldnt work out how to eat or breathe!

id love to try that dress on but i suspect if it clings to the bottom half it may make my hips looke HUGE...

darkandstormy · 12/02/2010 09:46

beautiful, looks very flattering but simple.

doggiesayswoof · 12/02/2010 16:58

Aah! I didn't know it was a Gok dress. I've just ordered it in the blue (grey??) so fingers crossed. I tried it on, it certainly did cling to my arse so I've ordered the size up which they didn't have in stock.

Think I might stick a slip on under it if still clingy. Lovely lovely dress, great drapey fabric.

tattycoram · 12/02/2010 17:16

I love it but it's sold out in blue now . Does M&S get more stock in? Or will that be it do you think?

fishie · 13/02/2010 21:15

fear not tatty, when i first saw the brown one it was all sold out and then one came back. also they didn't even make it in blue back them. so keep checking!

Bumperlicious · 13/02/2010 21:58

Looks fab, but not with my rather peachy bottom

tattycoram · 13/02/2010 22:05

I got one! The last blue in a 16 in the Covent Garden store - they had brown and blue in 10,12 and 14 if anyone else is still interested. I am wearing it now and I love it. By the way fishie, I bought that Gap needlecord dress you recommended in the autumn in both grey and purple and have worn them both to death.

cornsilk · 13/02/2010 22:09

I'm ordering one in blue.I always wear a slip with tights anyway.
Duckyfuzz - Is that slinky dress only in black?

brimfull · 13/02/2010 22:30

hmmm not keen on either dress

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/02/2010 22:32

i went to M&S today but couldnt see it anywhere. id have liked to try it on.

cornsilk · 14/02/2010 01:49

tsk ggirl that's not like you

ThatVikRinA22 · 14/02/2010 21:37

before i take the plunge and order one - do you think it would make a size 14 pear shaped lady look like a small elephant?

janeite · 14/02/2010 21:39

I saw it in blue today. Too long for me though - would have looked really frumpy. And the colour wasn't great, either - and it looked as if it would bobble.

fishie · 16/02/2010 20:07

it is a bit long, i might take up the blue one. doesn't bobble and can be either smart or dressed down.

tatty i had the grey gap dress on today as well, it is a million times better than the toast needlecord jobs.

ForestFire · 17/02/2010 08:14

i saw someone with it on at a party.
it looked.. drapey tbh

MarthaFarquhar · 17/02/2010 08:19

Glad it works for you - it does look fab on the model.

It is definitely not for pears though - the 12 clung horrifically to my thighs, and the 14 was all sacky and made me look pg.

got this in black though - very flattering and great length.
