Wear to get fitted for shoes

I had no idea that fitting was so crucial and my 15 month daughter's been wearing hand me down Eccos (seemed to fit very well though), which were brand new pretty much but now I'm a bit concerned she needs proper fitting.

I can make it to a big John Lewis, are they good? Can't visualise where there is a Start-rite or a Clarks but can make it to Oxford St or thereabouts easily.

Thanks

Don't use hand me down shoes - shoes mould to the shape of your foot and as every foot is individual it's crucial to get new shoes. The bones in children's feet are very soft and pliable and damage can be caused without them feeling it or you realising it.

Use a good shoe shop - the one suggested above sounds good or look on www.shoefitters-uk.org to find a shop in your area with properly trained and experienced staff. Any shop that is a member of the organisation will also sell good quality brands and usually a choice of brands. Not all sizes and styles will fit the same so it's a good idea to use a shop that isn't tied to just one manufacturer.
