Disneyland Paris, what clothes to take?

I'm going to Disneyland Paris with DH and DS this half term and we're staying in the Disney Village.
I'm taking jumper dresses and jeans or leggings with boots for the day, but should I take something a bit smarter for if we go for a meal in the evening?

no

it is very casual and also absolutely freezing. I would be thinkiung more ski jackets than jumper dresses, and make sure ds has enough on

I wouldn't bother. I am into clothes and usually like to dress up (in nice clothes, not costumes!) but all my nicer things stayed in my case as there wasn't anywhere to wear them and it was so cold. Even the adults seem to go in for mouse ears and fleeces.

What hotel are you staying at?

I've just got back from Paris (city not DL) and it was very cold - I was in DL in December and it was freezing (DL is on an island thing so is always colder & windier).

I bought some great thermals from M&S for myself and dd, wore them under jeans with ski socks and my Timberlands, thermal top, polo neck, cardigan, long padded jacket, scarf, hat, gloves.

Warmth and comfort are key in Disneyland.

it is very exposed, and cold - so wrap up v v v well! gloves, scarfs, hat, fleece, jacket.

rilliant though :-)

and no, you don't need anything dressy for the evening.

fin42 · 10/02/2010 10:44

Thanks for that all of you. I will wrap up warm and enjoy the 'Magic'.
We're staying in the 'Sequoia'.

oh and remember you will walk the equivalent of a marathon (dh reckoned running the marathon was less tiring than 3 days in disneyland pushing DD2 and DD1 around on buggy & buggyboard combo) so very comfy shoes are a must.

it is brilliant, not being negative, just be prepared!

Comfy shoes are a must. Our friends who came with us were cold and it really ruined their enjoyment.

Depends what kind of food you're into but if it is healthy stuff and you have a young LO might be worth taking some fruit/snacks.
