Can highly recommend Jurlique from Space NK if you are loaded (was a present!) or the Hemp stuff from the Bodyshop is truly fabulous.

I use Bodyshop Vitamin E intensive moisturiser - only £12 and lasts for ages - much much better than the clinique moisturiser I was using before this

demacolgica is fantastic but costs a fortune doublebase on prescription is good too

I've just discovered Aveeno cream for my DS and have taken to slapping some on my face of a morning. Makes my dry skin really smooth.

Clarins Hydraquench lotion (has spf too) and for foundation the Chanel Vitalumiere. Also a good night cream helps - I'm using one by Eucerin at the mo.

I have dreadfully sensitive skine, and some parts can be chip-pan greasy, whereas others can be painfully dry. I find that most of the Olay range work for me. Not unfortunately the anti-aging creams, but the standard and sensitive ranges. I use the complete daily cream with uv15 for sensitive skin. Tghe night cream is good as well, as are the various eye creams. The daily cream with a touch of foundation is lovely, tho I would like a wider range of colours. For cleansing I like their daily facial cloths, which I use in the shower. Express facials are also OK, but I can't use them regularly - they are only for occasional use. They also have a very gentle exfoliating cleanser, which I use, but I dopn't think it's as good for cleansing as the daily facial cloths.

A wonderful home-made skincare cream: whizz up a handful of porridge oats in a food processor, and add just enough hot water to make them swell and stick together. Mix with honey and mashed avocado. Add a drop of genuine lavender essential oil if you like. Smear on, leave as long as you like, rub in or stroke on, lick lips etc, then wash off. Really nourishes and smooths the skin. You can also add some freshly ground almonds (must be freshly ground, from a packet won't do) for exfoliation.

I use Aveeno on my dc, two of whom are prone to very dry skin if they eat dairy foods (too much dairy gives them eczema). I have use the olay night cream on them when I ran out of Aveeno, or forgot to pack it, and it has been wonderful on them.

Porridge oats also good for chickenpox! But in a bath, rather than applied directly.

Cut up a pair of fine tights into 15-20cm lengths. Knot one end tightly, put a handful of oats inside, and knot the other end tightly. Chuck into the bath, squish and swirl it around. You can also put into the bathwater 2 or 3 tablespoonsful of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda - not baking powder) and the same amount of cornflour. Don't let him drink the bathwater! If he does tend to do so, then leave out the bicarb - it's not harmful, but is full of sodium (ie salt).

He can play with the oats bag, and you could tip the cornflour straight into his hands to play with as well.

This is very soothing for itchy chickenpox. When my older two had chickenpox and it was at its worst, they probably had three or more baths a day.

Just got a Clarins freebie new moisturiser. It's for dry skin, comes in a blue packaging and has SPF15. Been using it for the last three days and it's worked wonders on my skin. Just ask at the counter.

I am using the No7 at the moment, got huge box from Santa, but on nights when my skin feels cracky and dry I just slather good old original blue Nivea (in the tin) which sorts it out overnight.

I love Neal's Yard Frankincense cream, and after a MN thread got some Elemis collagen marine cream on a QVC special which was fab. (very pricey when not on QVC special though)

Clarins Instant Smooth make up is my new and eternal favourite. I'll never change again now.
