If you had £50 what would you buy?

I am hopefully going shopping on Friday and I will have £50 to spend on clothes. I don't want to much expensive stuff as I am dieting but I am sick of wearing maternity tops when DS2 is 13 months old.

I am a 16/18 depending on the shop. I have 40E norks, a terrible fat stomach and I don't mind my legs. My thighs are bigger than I would like and my lower legs are still as skinny as they have always been.

I would like some nice staple bits that I can wear day in and day out and look remotely stylish.

1 thing I desperately need is a jumper/cardi as I live in DH's fleeces.

Thanks ever so much.

How about this:

this cardi £18

jeggings £12

vests @ £2.50

some chunky bike boots £15 or £25

Leggings/jeggings and vests are super cheap and with a long cardi to cover your bum and chunky boots to balance you out will look good without breaking your budget. I would go black for the boots and cardi and add colour with the vests also go to primark for some colourful scarves/jewellery or a red handbag - always put a smile on your face

I nkow it's expensive but I have just bought this cardi
It is very slimming - I am same size as you

H&m has some lovely things at the moment, there are some really nice silk blend waterfall type cardigans only £20 each which are versatile and you'll still be able to wear later on too. Also maybe pair of jeans from new look

Thanks runforit. All those clothes are great.

Ggirl, I love the cardigan. Might have to save a bit for that.

I do love H&M but always think it's more for skinny people so will have to look there.

A one way ticket out of kidsville...

another vote for H&M

i got a couple of lightweight waterfall cardis in there last week for 7.99, but not warm enough for just now

i think you woudl fit the XL in their knitwear and jackets, although their t shirts are very small made. when i was a 41 bust i had to buy their B&B range tops

new look also have good things in their inspire range

beware, jumpers are a big dodgy for the large of nork, as they just hang down and make you look pg

I'll certainly have a look in H&M.
