Fashion jewellery - where can I buy it buy cheap (but not not tacky)?

I have a v stylish friend who is always accessorised with lovely bright chunky bracelets and necklaces etc which make her look so pulled together and chic. I am super envious.

I don't really have much much jewellery bar a few bits and bobs from Topshop and so forth plus some quite nice (but conservative) expensive pieces that were gifts.

I wish to steal her style take inspiration from her but (a) don't really want to spend a fortune, and (b) have no idea where to source nice statement (without being too statement IYKWIM) jewellery from.

Online options would be ace as small children in tow make browsing shops full of shiny things a hazzard to my mental health.

Over to you, S&B miracle workers - do your magic!

Primark, but they aren't online. You could try searching Primark on Ebay? I love chunky pieces and get all most of mine from there.

Actually I specifically want a necklace like this

Earlybird · 06/02/2010 16:14

Depends on your definition of cheap.

Monsoon has some nice things from time to time.

Jbck · 06/02/2010 16:19

Boots have some nice big chunky stuff just now and some of it half price.

PoppityPing · 06/02/2010 16:29

lady luck dolly dagger unexpected boutique ASOS spoiled brat for 'trendy' stuff

Ascension natural collection for eco

galibardy and hairy growler for quirky

lola rose and dolly dagger0 are more expensive, but still not huge prices

PoppityPing · 06/02/2010 16:44

sorry, jackie brazil not dolly dagger again!

fishie · 06/02/2010 16:47

try etsy for great original stuff

moonmother · 06/02/2010 17:36

www.folksy.com is the british version ofetsy, and has some great jewellery on there (including mine).

Prices vary obviously but there's a huge range from costume/fashion jewellery to some very talented high end jewellery designers, and most is one off pieces.

If I was going to buy jewellery, it's the first place I'd look.

EdgarAllenSnow · 07/02/2010 19:18

Sanisburys Tu jewellery is actually supplied by Johnny LOVES Rosie, and is very nice indeed - they also supply Kew, Jigsaw, Monsoon etc....

also at £5-10 per item very reasonably priced.
