I've been looking around for a little while now for a vaguely attractive maternity swimsuit, but I haven't done v well...

Can any of you experts out there point me in the right direction? I'm quite tall so I might be in need of a tankini (with a lot of coverage ).

T very much IA

I used a non-maternity Speedo Sculpture one for almost my whole pregnancy - it was a bit big to start with but then fit fine until about 35 weeks. It's sort of empire line with a line under the bust. I've also got a black tankini top with white piping from New Look with matching bottoms from JoJoMaman - think they do tops too. On balance a tankini might be the best investment - lots of room to grow in those and the inside bra shelf is great for helping boobs fight gravity.

this is gorgeous and sexy and on sale!!. I wore mine on holiday last year in the south of France and felt great in it. The sizes are odd, I'm normally 14 but they only do 14-16, so I sized down to a 12 and it was great. They also do a lovely black strapless dress which I wore to a wedding and to various other function Here

Avoid Mothercare unless you are small of nork. Even sizing up there was no way my bad boys were going to fit! I ended up buying one in sale from Dorothy Perkins or New Look reduced to £7 but think they have all sold out now .

I bought a tankini from British Home Stores (BHS) last week, I'm 35 weeks pregnant.

The top gives good coverage of the bump, and cost around £12. It isn't a maternity one, I just bought one a few sizes bigger so I could fit my boobs and belly in!

Look for something with an underbust seam- to give a bit of support. I had this one mamas&papas and loved it. In fact I looked just like that in mine!

Thanks everyone, much appreciated - I've just ordered the one from Picchu. Hopefully I'll earn some brownie points from my dd if we start swimming again
