Help with High Heels

BrokenBananaTantrum · 27/01/2010 21:09

Hello all. I have not worn high heels for 10 years but I am just on the way out of PND and want to feel a bit better and take more of an interest in how I look.

So the question is should I just go for a stonking big heel and learn to walk on them again or should I start out low heel and work my way up?

Any suggestions of boots / shoes would be welcome. Thanks

with spring and summer on the way, why not go for a pair of bright wedges? height without that teetering feeling... this is how I got my high heel fix while pregnant

what sort of budget? I love these but sadly they come up too small on me ...

glad you are feeling better

a couple of MNers have those castaners and speak highly of their comfort and style value! I just have enormous feet . Use your MN discount for 10% off and then buy yourself another treat with the remaining £30

Sorry to hear about your PND but glad to hear you are on the mend

When I was trying to find my way back into high heel wearing, I bit the bullet and bought a 4 inch heel. I then began to wear them around the house day to day so that I could get my balance and walk confidently in them. There is nothing worse than "teetering" in your heels in public .

What size shoe are you? Also, what kind of clothes do you like to wear? High heel ankle boots would be a good way to go. They feel a little more stable than a traditional court/slip on shoe.

Agree with LTEC that wedges are great as a starter shoe .

Love those wedges! Mainly because they look so comfy .

Thanks for your responses. I agree tulpe i do not want to teeter about. I used to wear ridiculously high heels when I was younger and could even run in them if the occasion required but it is definatley a skill and i have forgotten how. I'm going to take the plunge with some high heel boots and some wedges.

Wish me luck..............
