Dark undereye circles

People are always telling me I look tired even when I'm not due to dark rings under eyes (not bags just circles) have tried everything - early nights, drinking more, concealer, iron tablets, but people still tell me I look tired!!

Am sick of it - any suggestions?

bumping for info - I have this, only with slightly red tinge under one eye that makes people ask if my DH has been at me Oh yes, attractive, c'est moi!

misshardbroom · 27/01/2010 14:54

no help, just marking my place as I've been afflicted by this since childhood and DD seems to be going the same way!

The only thing I've found to improve them slightly is gentle massage with a good eye cream, but it doesn't make them vanish altogether.

jessia · 27/01/2010 14:54

looks like there's a market niche here girls!

sweetheart · 27/01/2010 14:59

I have deep indents which I would love to know how to get rid of! I use eye creams morning noon and bllomin night but nothing shifts them! Have even been into a local beauty place and asked about cosmetic inhancements - eg botox or something.....

squeaver · 27/01/2010 15:01

Someone once told me that it's a sign of eating too much red meat. No idea if this is true or not.

sweetheart · 27/01/2010 15:11

ok let's test it - I probably have red meat on average 1 or 2 times a week.

misshardbroom · 27/01/2010 15:50

haven't had any red meat for a fortnight, and even then it was just a bit of roast beef on a Sunday.

coffeeinbed · 27/01/2010 17:15

Ok, don't want to jinx it, because I have been using it for couple of weeks only but! - Dr. Lowe dark circles something - it's new in Boots does seem to help. And it's under a tenner.
I have tried just about everything.

coffeeinbed · 27/01/2010 17:16

Ok here it is - Dr. Lowe Dark Circles Correcting Cream

misshardbroom · 27/01/2010 17:44

I shall experiment with it and report back. Hope you haven't jinxed your luck by sharing it!

zozzle · 27/01/2010 18:59

Thanks for all the comments guys.

BTW - I eat red meat approx 2-3 times a week. I have quite low eyebrows and slightly droppy bits above eyelids (not sure what they are called - upper eyelids maybe?) which doesn't help the overall knackered look. I look slightly more awake when I have my eyebrows shaped professionally - but only slightly!

Yes report back re: Dr Lowe's dark circles cream - that would be great!

Am late back to the thread, but I hardly eat red meat at all - once every few weeks perhaps.
And if the Dr Lowe's stuff works I will have to get it exported as I am not in the UK!

touch eclat go onto you tube see Lisa Eldrige make up tutorial. She states only put it on the dark bit,do not overlap onto the pale bit, and pat. This is the correct method.

MimsyStarr · 28/01/2010 20:48

I used to use Touche Eclat but developed an allergy to it. I now use the Collection 2000 one that you get in Superdrug and it works fine too.

MillyR · 28/01/2010 20:48

I am vegetarian and I have dark circles! I use Touche eclat and can't cover them up. The Philosophy concealer pallette is meant to be amazing, but I don't know if you can get it in the UK.
