Hush Cardigown - Warm?

Hi, I'm very tempted by the Hush cardigown on sale (2008 version) but I'm constantly cold and I'm wondering if it's warm enough since it's only 45% wool. Is it more fashionable than snuggly? Did the angora de-hair okay?

Hi, I don't have the cardigown, but do have a hat from them which is the same mix.

It is nice and warm, and doesn't shed, and I am very bad at wearing wool. It's also very snuggly and soft. I rather tempted too now actually....

Sorry, I know it's not the same, but I thought it might help a bit.

that's very helpful! Thanks!

Oh good! I should say, I did get a little bit of fluff for a little while, but it hasn't gone bobbly. I have had it a couple of years now and it still looks good.

Sounds good - I'm being a bit cheeky by ordering anything but DH managed to shrink a wool shirt I'd been given for Christmas (to the point where I've given it to the five year old across the street) so this is probably justified...

It's lovely. My mum bought me one for Christmas the year before last and it's really warm and hasn't bobbled at all. Treat yourself.

I've just got one and wore it instead of a coat yesterday, and felt nice and snuggly all day. (And looked like the michelin man, but there you are.) The wool blend is pretty warm and it's not massively sheddy, tho I wouldn't wear a dark jumper underneath my pale cardigown.

Slight issue might be that the sleeves are 3/4 length so you need to be prepared to wear something long sleeved underneath.

My problem is that I am now addicted to the hush website, damn you mumsnet.

I have the cardigown from this year. The sleeves are allegedly 3/4 but they just about meet my wrists - and I consider my arms to be quite long!

I love mine. Very warm and cosy. And like aquavit I have found that it is warm enough to wear as an alternative to a coat on warmer days. Looks fab with jeans and boots and have also layered it over the Henley dress from Hush too. Am also addicted to Hush

aquavit · 27/01/2010 10:30

yes i have arms like an ape so sleeves are rarely long enough on me anyway
