Duo - Malmo boot fitting

Would love some boots as I think it would increase my skirt wearing habits.
I always struggle to fit my fat muscular calves into boots.

Got very excited when I saw Duo Naples style half price, but of course they are sold out so am now looking at Malmo.

Comfort for walking many miles is top priority.

I think my calf measurement is 39cm (according to DS's Bob the Builder tape measure).

Should I go for 38 or 40 cm boot?

Any recommendations for other similar styles or words of wisdom re Malmos?

TIA

Thanks LitR.

Have remeasured with muscles fully flexed and 39 on left and 40 on right

I'm so looking forward to a pair of boots which aren't a struggle to zip up I'm going to go for the 40cm fitting.

It would be soul destroying to have to send a pair of Duo boots back because they are too snug.

I have some Malmos, and find they are huge. I got measured by Duo at one of their away day events. They are a 41 cm, size 8. Massive all round, event on my massive feet.

Massive in a too big to wear, feet and ankles slopping around kind of a way BikeRunSki?

I'm usually a six and half and have gone for the 39 as I heard that Duo sizes are on the big side.

I can't imagine a pair of boots being too big around my calves, have always had very much the opposite problem.

I have the malmos and love them, they are really comfy. I got them to wear with skirts too and they are perfect for that.

They do have an elasticated bit at side but it is small and there is not much give. I was told that they would stretch a bit with wear but tbh haven't found that at all and they have had a lot of wear!

Music to my ears Prov, have ordered my Malmos now and hope I'm as happy with them as you are with yours

I hope you enjoy your Malmos Montifer. I have a brown pair and a black pair which have lasted me 2 yrs and I absolutely love them . I can wear skirts and skinny(ish) jeans tucked into them and they are great.
