Where's the best place to sell my mulberry?

Has anyone ever sold one and not been ripped off? I don't think I am all that keen on using Ebay - it seems so full of fakes and mine isn't, although I don't have the receipt. I am also worried about the paypal rules - where you think someone's paid but then they put a stop on the payment. I forget the proper term for this.

Also not sure what price to ask for. The ebay prices don't really help me because of the above reason. It's a black east west Bayswater and I've only used it three times, though I've had it a year. It's just too small for all the rubbish I carry.

Just thought I'd say Hi and thanks for the CAT.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 27/01/2010 00:42

I don't know faustina. I've been on here a few years though if this helps. Paypal?

faustina · 27/01/2010 12:03

ok, I am still trying to find out a price - will know for sure by tomorrow, and then I'll put it on the for sale part and post here, to make it all correct.

Thisismydancespace I think I will pass on the elgin because it's black and I really would like something in oak - thank you very much for the offer though!

I don't get paid until the third Friday of Feb (darn NHS)

faustina · 28/01/2010 21:36

oh bugger belledechocloatefluffybun. I am really sorry - I do want to try to sell before then. If it doesn't go on here, or on ebay I'll come back to you.
If it doesn't work, don't buy any mulberry on ebay unless you check it out on the purse forum first - even if it looks ok it probably isn't - it's horrific, almost all the bags are fake. They can spot them on the forum though and tell you

It's OK, I hope you manage to sell it. (sniff)

Hi I'm selling my Mulberry Coral Bayswater. £500-600, price is negotiable.
2 years old excellent condition, hardly used (which is why I am selling it)
Bought from Birmingham Selfridges for £875.
I have the reciept and a Mulberry draw strong bag that it came in.

pinktortoise · 25/05/2012 14:36

You don't want to swap for a black daria hobo do you? Also 2 years old and excellent condition! Bought from from selfridges London don't have receipt but have the cloth bag!

pinktortoise · 25/05/2012 14:39

It is the satchel one , can go across body or shoulder.

Penny21 · 12/03/2013 14:46

Hi, im looking for a mulberry daria or mulberry lily, anyone got one they would like to sell or swap?:)

mrsrhodgilbert · 12/03/2013 17:23

If your bag is in good condition there is a lady who runs naughtipidgensnest who buys and will sell for you for a commission. She is very well regarded and probably safer than eBay.

Allthingspretty · 12/03/2013 18:41

Go to naughty pigeons nest and contact the lady who runs it op.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 12/03/2013 23:40

I bet she's sold it already in the last 3 years ;)

faustina · 13/03/2013 06:01

of course I did Ceecee! And quite a few others since then. In the process, I discovered that yes, there are some agencies like naughtpidgeon and lovehandbgas who are reputable, but they take a very large percentage, and the prices they offer aren't very good. In the end I joined the Purse forum, researched sold prices on ebay, and was very fussy about who I accepted bids from. Then I held my breath a bit until paypal released the money. I don't think I had a problem with any of those sales (and there were quite a few)

I kept one Mulberry, (oak bayswater) and two purses, but I prefer something simpler nowadays. I mainly use two Longchamp Lepliage leather bags, and one from Mimi Berry. It wasn't a money thing, more a simplification of possessions.

I tried to sell a Mulberry bag on eBay a while back and somebody reported me for selling a fake - which it absolutely wasn't!

I had my listing ended and a stern warning from eBay. It was very peculiar. I don't know who reported me or why but there you go. Weird.

PuffPants · 13/03/2013 12:48

Oh, I see this is an ancient thread!

Hi all, sorry for posting on a zombie thread but I have a Mulberry bag and purse I want to sell and was interested in this 'purse forum'' mentioned. Can anyone give me more info?

carrielou2007 · 27/11/2014 19:20

The purse forum you can get bags 'authenticated' plus general chat about bags of various brands but you are not able to sell on there.

Lorrainebtownuk2012 · 12/01/2015 20:09
