Bought the charcoal one and wearing it now. I just know I'm going to get loads of use out of it - my very own blankie

I'm a bit darker in colouring than you - brown (asian) skin and black hair. Now wondering what colours go with charcoal - currently wearing with indigo jeans so the whole look is a little on the dark side.

LTEC I'm sure you're good at combining colours whereas I'm a bit clueless in this respect!!

not listening, not listening!

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2010 23:13

Oh fantastic!! am really pleased you love it.

Come on Hopefully, why resist?? only a few days of the 15% off left... !!

re colours: I wear mine with indigo jeans and a black tee a lot but am not too fussed about looking 'on the dark side'
. I also wear over a deep purply inky coloured American Vintage tee, as well as basic white ...

haven't worn it with teal or turquoise-y colours but have a feeling it would look ace ...

Zembo · 21/01/2010 06:46

Teal, turquoise and especially purple are colours that I LOVE so will give it a go.

I'm a bit concerned re: wearing my beautiful new wrap with the dc's around though, but don't want to limit wear to post 7pm bedtime! will attempt to give it an outing with DCs in tow today.

I actually would have already ordered one, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to add more grey to my life (the charcoal one is the only one that would go with my teal/pink/cream wardrobe). Wish they had a nice bright one. Do they ever bring out new colours or should I just abuse my credit card now?

Zembo · 21/01/2010 10:13

Hopefully I was actually wondering the same prior to purchase. Maybe worth giving them a call as the invoice I got with my wrap had a message on re: new wraps being added to the collection.

Ooh, thanks Zembo, I might give them a call tomorrow (because, you know, my credit card balance needs to be a bigger number. It feels lonely next to all the other credit card balances).

LetThemEatCake · 21/01/2010 23:35

give them a call hopefully, they are really lovely (and post back here to let me know, I could go another in a bright colour!!)

zembo - how did the kids + cashmere equation go today? word of warning - my dc3 has become so acustomed to the feel of cashmere that we bought him a My Little Travelwrap, which is now his 'blanky' - and dc1 is now clamouring for one too .....

KristinaM · 22/01/2010 00:23

LTEC _ is it just a big blanket? Confused

LetThemEatCake · 22/01/2010 00:36

a cross between a blanket and a pashmina. But better than either - or both!

KristinaM · 22/01/2010 00:57

so why is it so good ? [still confused]

do you just drape it around you sitting on the sofa eatingchocolate steamed veg and bf?

Zembo · 22/01/2010 06:15

LTEC - Outing went okay in that no damage was afflicted on my wrap, but I did find it challenging to juggle the shopping, DCs and keep the wrap in place.

Truth is I don't have a coat that I love, so am always trying to manage without. The wrap fits the bill in this respect as toasty warm, but wondering if I dare stick a pin in it to hold it in place - do you do this LTEC? KristinaM - it is big, so yes a bit blankety, so good I guess because its cashmere! Beautiful drape, soft and warm - I imagine used as a 'travelwrap' on planes etc will be heaven. But as I said above I will be attempting to use instead of a coat in spring.

LOL Kristina, no- I use it instead of a cardi when out as well, too beautiful to reserve solely for sofa use!

Zembo- I have an antiquey looking dragonfly brooch that I use with it.. Bought it years ago but am sure I saw some similar on the past times website. Makes the juggle much easier!!!

LaurieFairyCake · 22/01/2010 11:52

Which travelwrap is this?!?

The Brora wrap? that's £195 in the sale. I really want the Brora one but have held back.

LetThemEatCake · 22/01/2010 12:23

not Brora

15% off til end of Jan

Zembo · 22/01/2010 12:43

Thanks LTEC I don't actually own a brooch so will now look for one!

Zembo - go to www.plumo.com - can't link to individual products for some reason but click on jewellery and there's a rather lovely polished horn dragonfly pin reduced to £15

Zembo · 22/01/2010 20:35

Oooh LTEC yet another beautiful item you've linked to! So beautiful, I have ofcourse just bought it. >

Thanks again, ever thought that your calling in life might be as some kind of personal shopper????

LetThemEatCake · 22/01/2010 22:13

oh how I wish! that would be amazing.

After today, I am in serious doubt about whether my calling in life is as a mother ... was cross and snappy with my 2 eldest (oldest?) this morning and am now feeling cr*p about it
