To blonde or not to blonde?

I have long (to my boobs!) naturally dark brown but dyed red hair. I dyed it red in october but only used 1 pack of colourant so it never went bright red more a dark mahogany.

However I am all for a change is better than a rest, and probably more interesting too so I'm thinking shoulder length bob, side fringe and blonde. I have been told that if I went straight for a blonde dye I would go ginger so suggestions opinions please?

You need dye remover first which will knack your hair, so go blonde in stages!
Get your hair over the remover with some good conditioning and then go to a hairdressers for highlights before you go all over blonde.
