How, other than Botox, can I stop frowning?

susie100 · 14/01/2010 14:06

I am getting really deep lines on my forehead as I have noticed I frown when I am reading and concentrating so thats almost all day!

Use lots of lovely Decleor creams and managing to prevent wrinkles everywhere else but forehead is really beginning to go.

Any suggestions other than Botox? I am tempted but don't want to go down that route early on (I am in my early 30s)
HELP!

More sleep? More rest? Less stress? Sellotape?

There was a Loreal primer recommended on here a while back for this sort of thing. It seems to be hard to get in the shops but think you can order it online from Boots (and other places)

More sleep would be nice, its unlikely to happen though. Could work on rest.

I don't frown because I am stressed I don't think I seem to do it all the time, watching TV, reading a magazine etc etc

I was hoping for some sort of miracle cream or technique (maybe sellotape!)

Ooooh Primer, that sounds good (and a bit lie my forehead is a cracked wall that needs to be painted which it is!)

I think there is a thing called a frownie - a bit like a plaster that sticks over the frown area at night. Sure I saw talk about it on here some time ago.

Bettymum · 14/01/2010 14:21

frownies I have been tempted by these in the past. I have a terrible frown.

Bobbiewickham · 14/01/2010 14:30

Fringe.

Works for me

susie100 · 14/01/2010 14:46

Frownies - love it! Exactly what I was after and I see Rene Russo is a fan.

Fringe is also a good one.

I love you ladies, you always have the answers

Do you find you frown when you're reading/watching tv - is there a chance you might need your eyes tested? Just a thought, I start to frown when my prescription changes.

noddyholder · 15/01/2010 10:02

I tried frownies and they worked while I used them but micropore tape works teh same and easier to get!

Ronaldinhio · 15/01/2010 10:12

get the botox

Meglet · 15/01/2010 10:16

Yes, I love my frownies . Bit of a pain to get off in the morning though as I don't shower in the morning. I use a wet flannel on it to loosen it.

Just don't answer the door to the postman with one on.

susie100 · 15/01/2010 11:07

Interesting point about the glasses, my mother said the same thing last night. I will go and get tested, I think work actually pay for a test a year.

Ronaldinhio I am tempted, have you had it done? Was it obvious?
