black skinny jeans with brown boots?

is this a big style no-no???

i only have brown boots (2 pairs), i am bored of wearing my blue denim jeans with them and all my other trousers are wide legged and it's too snowy for skirts.

i was thinking of black skinny jeans.. would that work? if not, what colour would?

p.s. this crisis is due to ongoing snow and the need to tuck my trousers into my boots, something i don't usually do.
