I prefer the checked one in the corner.

Cyb, have reasonably new baby (or at least that's my excuse) so don't be fooled by profile pics - they're not recent.

It's nicer than that Paul Smith one I was tempted by.

domesticextremist · 13/01/2010 17:49

Yes well obviously I do loads of research ahem [hides Grazia under arse]

JaneiteIsAWimpyTeacher · 13/01/2010 17:51

Ooh I like that. I like Warehouse dresses generally but sometimes have to size up for norkage. I am a curvy size 12 and I think that might suit me. Unfortunately, I bought a Warehouse dres last week, despite having taken the 'buy nothing' pledge, so I Must Not Be Tempted.

JaneiteIsAWimpyTeacher · 13/01/2010 17:53

I like this one too

I like the shape of it but not the narrow stripe (there's something a bit... nautical about it up close).

I'm sure I've seen a similar style dress in plain grey somewhere that I've been coveting but now can't track it down anywhere....

Cyb · 13/01/2010 17:59

yes janeite I spotted that feathers one. I think it may look good with a thin long sleeved tee shirt under, tights and ...shoe boots

The feathers one is a lovely pattern, but as a fellow size 14-er, I wonder what it would look like on when it makes the mannequin look bulky!

I looove this vaguely punky officey dress. But I can't possibly spend that much can I?

JaneiteIsAWimpyTeacher · 13/01/2010 18:34

The punky one is lovely but the neckline would look hideous on me. Yes, the feather one does look a bit bulky but I think it would be cute with a poloneck or long-sleeved t-shirt underneath, thick tights and my knee high brown boots IF it wasn't too fat-making.

hellsbelles · 13/01/2010 19:31

at LTEC's offer to try it on

Cyb - I think it's gorgeous and would love to get one too (though not allowed to now as have made an MN oath not to spend on clothes - at least for a leetle bit)

Cranreuch · 13/01/2010 19:40

I think it would look like it didn't fit me properly, and all the buttons were gaping/sagging, might work on someone who manages to look pristine, I think on myself it would be scruffy.

LetThemEatCake · 13/01/2010 20:05

NO HELLS, here's my plan.

LTEC goes in store to try on dress. LTEC's potential as aging, plus size model is spotted by secret scouts, who are working for Warehouse in preparation for new mature plus size range. LTEC gets loads of free clothes under contract thus not breaking terms of MN thread promise. LTEC then gets thin but under terms of contract is still entitled to lovely things!!

LTEC then also has the love of lovely MNers who are grateful for detailed report of said dress.

besides which, have been cooped up indoors all day and even a trip to a strip-lit High St shop sounds pretty good to me right now

Not spending, promise. Promise!!

cornsilkscatholichamster · 13/01/2010 20:07

I love the punky one as well. Must not buy any more clothes....

hellsbelles · 13/01/2010 21:53

I can't believe I didn't guess that LTEC - now you've explained it's so obvious

JaneiteIsAWimpyTeacher · 13/01/2010 21:54

LTEC - plus size? You? I think not! Am liking the plan though.
