well, I finally got around to buying it when I realised that my random musings were finding their way on to MN far too much in the absence of some good stationery.

Anyway, I know I was mocked and derided for my purchase BUT there were a few of you out there tempted. If that's still the case, code sheerluxe will get you 20% off, even on discounted items.

So my diary with the 7 characters of engraving (year plus initials) really didn't work out so expensive. On a cost per projected use basis, that is.

I was thwarted in my attempt to buy a pink one with my name in gold, because they wanted 25 pounds postage I was a bit miffed about that!

LetThemEatCake · 13/01/2010 13:34

VB, shall I quickly ring them and add to my order then send to you?? would be way cheaper. am happy to do so.

Ah, that's so kind

I walked into National Gallery bookshop just this morning and got one there.

Next year!

I don't facebook, I have an addictive/compulsive streak to me, I fear if I FBed I would have no life at all. MN is addictive enough.

LetThemEatCake · 13/01/2010 13:43

oh, no worries. Glad you got something.

It's lovely. Don't listen to naysayers about an expensive diary it's something you use everyday so cost per use isn't much at all. I nearly bought myself one from smythson before my sensible head clouted me over the knuckles and I headed to WHSmith...I hate my sensible head... next year I am putting it on my xmas list (the diary not my head)

Have you received it yet LTEC? What's it like? Good on you for ordering it! I quite like their every day kitchen table diary and am now tossing up between it and Filofax so thanks for the discount code! I could always put the change towards a nice handbag ... the subject of another thread!!

LetThemEatCake · 13/01/2010 17:17

thank you Libra and Millie Haven't got it yet but can't wait! am fed up with reading amazing lines in books/ having ideas and jotting them down on random bits of paper which then get used as emergency snot-wipers...

will post when it arrives!

LTEC ... I ordered the Kitchen Table Diary and it arrived today. It's great - thanks for the link! Unf. didn't get the 20% off as I had to order over the phone (their website kept bombing) by which time the diary had gone back up to full price ... but although she gave it to me for half price she wouldn't do the extra discount. Never mind ... it's great

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2010 23:17

oh, that's fantastic! am so pleased you got it.

that code was from this site - worth subscribing as they have lots of discount codes and promos on gorgeous things
