Help!
My skin is in desperate need of some rehydration.
This wonderfully cold weather is not doing it much good and its become very dry and tight and my eyes are so dry they look all wrinkled.

Can anyone recommend what to do and what to use ?

Do you use oil-cleansing method, or similar? I use this at night, which I remove with a flannel or muslin first soaked in hot water and then another once over with the flannel soaked in cold water. I don't usually need a moisturiser as well, but this time of year I have been using either Dr Hauschka's rose cream or Waitrose baby bottom butter (very small amount only needed). Both are quite heavy and are a good barrier cream if you're going out in the wind.

I haven't found the ideal eye-cream yet, but I sometimes use this and sometimes use a Crabtree & Evelyn eye cream.

I use this on dd. Dp's been using it recently too and likes it.

Simple Derma Cream. I get really dry hands and patches on my face with the weather (both when too hot or too cold) and I've used this since about July on and off and it works a treat! Even gave it to my mum before christmas who sometimes gets mild eczema and rashes and she's been raving about it ever since. You can buy it from boots and Superdrug. This is the lotion but you can get 125ml pots of thicker cream.

REN OMega 3 oil, or Rose oil stuff, or the Frankinsence repair stuff- both brill. Have also heard good things about Neals Yard rose serum/oil stuff.

the weather has played havoc with my already sensitive skin and currently I look vaguely rudolph like. so not a good look...

I use the Liz Earle cleanser (cream you massage in and then rub off with muslin cloth) and that is brilliant. Neal's Yard frankincense hydrating moisturiser is good at night time. Their Rosehip oil is brilliant too. In the day, I've been using an Avene moisturiser with an spf that is good for sensitive skin that gets red.... However, it has not been able to cope with this weather so I've had to resort to a slathering of Aveeno cream on the really dry patches.

I use the liz earle cleanser and moisturiser too and its kept my skin comfortable....have been putting a few drops of almond oil in my bath because my skin stings and itches if i use body moisturiser. Cleansing with almond oil means no need to moisturise afterwards. Neutrogena concentrated handcream and liz arden 8hr cream for lips.
